start'n to slip a little..... :D
Jadaharabi Ok, to back up the quoted statement, my wife sent me to find something. I couldn't find it, but I found a 8.75 B-body rear end (I do believe). Axles, housing, and brakes. Now I know I'm slipping...…..

Do you mean that you had one in storage that you would forgot about or do you think it's the e body housing?

How long are the axles from one end to the other end? How long is the housing ?

No, it was in my crowded, disorganized basement (more of a cellar). I couldn't remember for the life of me where it came from...…...:realcrazy::realcrazy::realcrazy: I was clueless. And then, about 1/2 hour later, I remembered buying a 8.75 from the old junk yard that used to operate in a neighboring town (been out of business for years...). I forgot about it. It came from a '65 B-body.

It's really flakey from all the dampness. I'm going to try and clean it, inspect it, and hopefully use it in my '74 Duster!! LOL I feel old now...… :D

How I spent the last 2 days.

What a pain in the butt to get out.

That don't look like a Duster to me. lol What good are all the engines, when you just pull them out and put them on the garage floor after you paint them. lol

I do not have any painted engines sitting on my garage floor. If I have a painted engine it's either in a vehicle or on one of my many engine stands or on my dolly to be put into a vehicle.
If one of my engines is painted it has been either built, rebuilt or all the seals have been refreshed and has a new oil pump and new freeze plugs installed after the water jacket is flushed out. Then new core plugs are installed and it's painted ready to go into a vehicle. I have 14 vehicles.
You know your always welcome to come over an lend a hand.

^^^^^^ I'm just giving you crap. I'd come and help, but I'm afraid we'd get along so well, we'd BS and never get a thing done. Not to mention all the pizza and chili fries we'd consume. lol

How many days of summer left?
If I re-entered the race now would I automatically win?
I think Jaba and I count this "race season" as this summer. In other words, September or October will work just fine. I guess I should have called it 2019 race between Jaba & 318willrun. Oh yeah, no "buy backs". LOL. You were beat in the first week. :D

Go! Go! Go! I need a "spy" in the Jaba camp! LOL... I'm probably going to get beat by a 440-6 pack with hyperstatic mud flap valve control! :D

Dust in the pipes....
Did you see those pipes on those headers in that Dart Sport? 2.25 Big Block Pipes, and I saw a Hemi head on the bench. An old Gasser, that's what I'm up against! A straight axle Gasser..... :BangHead: (Fries will taste the same)

All I seen was a Durango motor....

I took a "soft" grinder to it. It was pretty deep pitted. I ground most of the rust off to shiny metal, then went over it all with a drill and wire brush, now it is primed. I think it will be a good rear end for my '74 Duster. I should throw some 4.30's in it and headers on the 318 and see what she'll do … see if Jaba's stock 360 4bbl can take it down ! That would be fun! :)

Have you put the Eddy on yet. lol I hear they are the ticket. lol
I actually had eddies on both Dusters, because it's what I had. Guess what? Both Dusters went faster with Holleys (ET slip proven) and.... AND run better :D
