I have a cracked head on my '65 Charger 273. I have some 302 heads I could use to replace the original ones. What would be a decent intake to throw on since I can't use the original with the 302s without machining? Thanks
I've got the manifolds off so that's easy enough to experiment with. There are earlier threads about late model heads conflicting with your early model exhaust manifolds. Some grinding required. Of course if you have headers you can ignore that.
4 barrel intakes that match the early heads bolt/angle are a bit rare. Intakes that match the later model heads bolt/angle are plentiful.
Yep looking for easy right now, not necessarily any upgrade in performance. Just need to get this thing road worthy and legal.None most probably. The LDB would be an ez intake to use.

Even a 360 iron intake will work. MOPAR said F the port mismatch on the 318 4bbl E48 police package...or did they sneak some 360 heads on that motor?
Stock manifolds or headers?Years ago I put a set of 302's down on a Charger 273, stock valve sizes, heads cut .030, used a Holly Street Dominator intake, worked good.
Yeah, 302's I have in the garage. And the point is to get the car moving rather than sit in the garage. Performance isn't really the issue right now.I would think you would lose compression ratio with the 302s. The 273 had rather small closed chambers. The correct head would be 920 IIRC. Unfortunately the supply of 920s is falling victim to cracks. When I was rebuilding my Commando the original heads and the first 3 replacements I found all had cracks. So I can understand what you're doing.
Stock manifolds or headers?
Where did you find these ?
