318 Poly heads and stuff

For the guys interested in that manifold, you might contact Gary Pavlovich since he was in regular contact with Roland Osborne who was apparently spearing heading that effort. I know Roland passed away and the manifold production stopped. Possibly the tooling still exists that this could be resurrected on both the manifold and valve covers. There are also valve covers available through an Australian fellow named Craig Fountain.

The 2-bolt Australian valve covers thru Craig Fountain can be purchased still just contact him thru email [email protected]

Is Pavlovich still doing poly stuff? I’ve looked and asked for contact info a couple of times with no success.
 
Someday I hope to have a Poly in a 64 Polara or 440. I was lucky enough to fi d a real nice Weiand manifold to use if the time comes.

My first car was a 66 Coronet poly. My dad bought it new. I still have it but in 1000 pieces. Maybe someday. I'm sure my fondness for the poly is more emotional than practical, but I still love 'em.

Once you fit an LA head the angles are quite odd indeed.

Only rectified with R5 blocks I believe 59 degrees and 49 degrees?

The race blocks have had variations that addressed the lifter angle from 59 to 48. The iron block, they also came in 3 deck heights and various bore sizes.
 
Great Poly talk Guys!
Gary Pavlovich was very instrumental in our 402ci build.

We contacted him some 15 years ago about a 360ci Poly build.
Following his and others advice via the Rodney Dangerfield publication.

He recommended we go for the 402ci build as it much more rewarding.
My Mopar colleague flew over in 2015 to meet him in person.

He met up with some of the SoCal Poly guys and had a wonderful time.
Plus a trip to the Schneider camshop to have a custom 0.525 Poly cam made!

We are Poly nuts here in the UK and congratulate anyone who carries the Poly flag.
Happy Christmas to everyone in Small Block Moparland.
 
Apparently the SAM 402ci of 2015 also made 600HP too!

Lots of trick parts fitted on this beauty with Hilborn injection.
