350 hp out of a fairly stock 340

My mild 360, .040 over, around 9:1 cr, stock stroke, stock heads, hyd flat tappet cam, with an Edelbrock air gap and 750 carb, running a .444/.467 cam, TTi headers through a full 3 inch exhaust and a 727 trans and 3.23 gears in a full steel body, full interior 1970 Dart ran 13.80 @100 mph 1/4 mile.

I don't believe that motor made more than about 350 hp.
More cam, gear, and a stall! Lol! Just messing around! I'll bet She's a Bad Ride Man! With that combo you have, I'll bet She's a Highway/ interstate Beast! And Quite Streetable, with no issues!

It was a fun car, no doubt, and dead nuts reliable. I drove it everywhere, including on the sand at Daytona Beach. I sold it long ago, in a moment of stupidity, life goes on.

Man, I hate those moments! I've had more than my share.... I remember you used to be able to camp on Daytona Beach at night but they don't let you do that anymore... I'm not even sure if you can drive on the beach anymore out there I haven't been there in so many years the whole strip has changed there it's all like big high-rises and stuff now and all the little old Florida buildings have already been torn down and replaced just like everything else down here....
 
My 67 Belvedere had a 340 4 spd out of a 69 barracuda mostly stock. It went pretty darn good.
There is 10 or 12 road test out there 340 ebody 4spds 3.55s 3.91s 14.1 14.2@98 99 100 mph lol
but those 15 second 383 4sp 355s were rocket ships

Open the exhaust with some headers on a 383 powered A-body and get back to me.
Same car, same gearing it would be over for the 340 in the 1st 60 ft.

you have a big block you need open headers 4sp 355s to beat a 340 727 3.23 but cant
you called 340 e bodys turds 14.1@ 99 all day stock you are the clueless one
the nhra 383 b body is 310
in the a body the 383 its 290
the 340 is 295 with the chit 68 to 70 carb 310 to 315 for thermoquad and 6pack
the 383 a body is 15.2 @93 a complete dog
cant even beat the low comp 72 340 duster thats 14.4
but i need headers gears and slicks to beat a small block wa wa
4.10s and dp on a 340 is high 12s
the 340 a body holds many records
the 383 a body or b body hold none

Nope! Raced many of 383 RR's with my 340 RR Never lost to one. Although 440's were hit and miss. Even beat my buddies 70 1/2 Z28 about 1/2 fender. The Mopar boys should be proud. If anyone doubts me I can take them for a ride in my HEAVY 69 Cuda 340 auto. and a 4.10 Dana 60' all steel and a mild steel 6 pt. but I do have S/S front seats in it. It's a 340 .030 over 10.5 and a 540/520 cam.
