More progress updates. Still waiting on a couple of items but the major stuff is in and done! Need to remove the crank bushing and then the engine and trans become one and hopefully installed tomorrow. The converter is a B&M Tork master 24-2600.
Had to enlarge a hole on the bouchellion flexplate.
Everything else is torqued and ready.
Here is the color I chose. Should look good with the silver of the engine bay.

I've wondered what one would look like corporate blue! Not bad!

Disregard the previous pic of the flexplate, I was able to line up the holes with out needing to open up a hole. Not sure why I didn’t get it to line up before!
A little more progress today. It’s all the little things that take the most time like I had to buy bolts for the transmission, mine went with the other engine!.
Also for anyone using an non hemi automatic, you need to remove this bushing. I found an article online on how to do it. Worked flawless even with my out of shielding gas had to use fluxcore bubblegum.

Yes, that bushing can be a beeotch. Have you test fit those exhaust manifolds? What year/chassis are they supposed to fit? Look like car stuff. Looking good!

Car manifolds that I got from a friend. Believe they came off a charger. I think they will fit. Drivers side may be a challenge with the shifter linkage. Find our soon! I see that Bouchellion/TTI has headers (pricey) for my year truck but once I go turbo, they will be wall art.

It’s in! It was a struggle even with all this room. Whom ever said the car manifolds wouldn’t work your right, but I’m gonna make them work. Gonna use truck manifolds for the time being. Also anyone doing this,#7 coil is tight at the booster. Had to remove it to install the engine. Only 1 bolt will go back. The oil filter is tight also but I think I can flip this mount the other way.
Tomorrow looks beautiful again so I will continue working and report the progress. Here are some pics.

Adds cost, but, the 45 degree oil filter adapter would fix ya right up.

Made some more progress today between birthdays and elder care. MSD wiring is complete, everything underneath is done except for exhaust. Focusing next on fuel lines, cooling system and saving exhaust for last.

Looking good! You put the truck manifolds back on? Looks like it.

Yes, I will get some pics of under the truck tomorrow. Pass side is golden, plenty of room. Drivers side is tight with the starter and trans linkage but I can snake it through. I would like to see how the headers from Bouchellion fit but for the $862 that they cost, I can find other ways to use that money. This is stage 1. Stage 2 will be cam swap and stage 3 will be injection and stage 4 will be a turbo, but not in any order. Depends on what I can find for deals at the time.

I forget what year, but, there's either a Durango or Aspen mani that fits driver's pretty good. I'll get info for ya tomorrow.

If I can get the car manifolds to work, I would love to use them. They are 3” outlets.

Maybe look into 6.1 SRT JEEP manifolds. They hug in closer to block.

Think it's an 08 Aspen driver's side that fits better. Angles away from frame and over starter a little better in those frames. Friend used this for a 5.7 swap in a 1 ton crew cab 4x4.

Looks the same as the one I have now. Drivers side is tight but I may can get it up if I shim the motor mount.
Made some progress tonight. Fuel regulator done, carb converted back to normal and mounted. Tomorrow is trans dipstick, powersteering and maybe I can get this thing to pop off.
Waiting on drivershaft!!

Grind a little clearance in the frame if it's as close as it looks. I did that when I put a set of Hedman Tork Step headers for a 4WD in a 2WD D350 once. Worked like a charm, and didn't hurt a thing.

Thanks! Frame is good, brake line is what’s close/touching. I am gonna do some adjustments.

Good bit if progress made today, I’m so close to hearing this thing! Fuel lines done, all other wiring done, driveshaft cut and yoke swapped over, made a trans dipstick from a 46re. I cut it down to the correct length and even used the 904 dipstick. I got the wrong fitting for the PS return hose :(
Enjoy!
Btw, anyone doing this, the 2004 powersteering line threaded right into the 91 box. Both are 18mm

Hey dusted. I'm getting ready to start the same swap in my 88 w150 using the 545 trans. Will keep watching. Did you get that hemi from a guy in Mebane?
