Well I took my block down to Max Machine and had Graham check it out to make sure ever was hunky dory. This was last September. Well it wasn’t. I’m so pissed. Before I bought everything I talked to the machine shop that did the work on the block. He pretty much guaranteed me it was good to go. Anyways they must have bored the block and billet main caps too big. Then cut the caps again to bore/hone it to size. When Graham measured it the block is .005 thou too wide. The caps are the right size width wise. When caps are bolted on the hole is the right size up and down. I kinda thought there was a problem as there wasn’t much /any bearing crush. So even if I got new caps then lined honed/bored the crank would move too close to the cam for my liking as the oil pick up hole will not clear the rod and the notch would need to be deeper into the cylinder. Probably will have a real seal leak that could never be sealed up. So hopefully I’ll build the 505 over winter. Kim
