Y’all are an incredible couple;) shame we’re so far apart:(

Hey, on our way home from corpus Christie , got the tail
Lights lenses, front bezels, complete wiper assembly. Bumper brackets, glove box door, and other things, 400 bucks;). Still on the road;)

It' 's amazing to even see anything that old in the local scrap / pick-apart yard... referring to the pictures in your first page of the post.

Up here it is tough to find anything decent or usable that is not totally rusted to bits after more than say 30 years old. most of the nicer old cars here never make it to the scrap yard like that.

Have fun with the project!

I guess I'm a sucker for 318s, I was hoping this engine was a 360:( However, same engine which was in the '76 Valiant. They didn't have the manual transmission:( :(
It has the edelbrock performer with an adapter plate for the carb. I wish they would have at least had the bell housing as I'd like to put this engine on my engine run stand; I'll just have to find one. However, the engine is kind of clean, perhaps it was overhauled sometime in its life. The casting plugs look like the ones they put in my rebuild engines.
have to make dinner now;)

I made this stand out of some scrap metal to put my 302 on it. Then sold the engine as a running engine cause they could see it run in person;) It's really a fun thing!

That is one clean 318 . Did you get the 904 for it ? Nice thing about the 318 is its internally balanced . That manifold is the one I mentioned it allows room for the a/c compressor.

Dang it Dne’ now I’m going to have to build a run stand for my 5.3 and 360 . Good thing I have the proper radiators for both and transmissions too .

Hi everyone, and Glen, thank you for the parts!! ;) Would the bell housing in the Ebay link work for my application? I'm needing a bell housing to run/test my engines. PLus the correct housing for the 4 speed transmission. Back to Gopher killing! :(

my 64 cuda started life as a 273 , but i installed a 318 , i used 340 exhaust on it with 2 1/4 out the back , put a notch in the trans crossmember on passenger side for exhaust pipe clearance . and you need to get a short waterpump and brackets , not sure that long nose pump will work in your car .

my cuda is a 4spd , and that mini starter kept breaking the nose off that fits in the stock 122 t bellhousing . next plan is a 340 with tti headers n exhaust , eddy heads worked over , intake can be optional , 6pk , ld340 , eddy rpm airgap , ect...

Wow, you know your stuff!!! Can’t wait to hear how it turns out!!!! Thanks for sharing;)

Moving along at a snails pace, I received the Brake/clutch swingarm assembly, just making sure it fits. Don't worry, it'll look all brand new when I'm done;)

Hydraulic clutch:

Brewer's Performance - Mopar A833 4-Speed Transmission and Component Specialists, I may just order a rebuilt trans from Brewersperformance unless an A833 pops up around here.

Sorry nothing exciting going on yet, but today I removed the rear axle, but made a rolling stand for it;)

Then a rather large jet flew over! snagged a pic;)

Hi Dne’
Well now you’ve done it ! Now I’ll have to build one before I swap out my 7 1/4 for my 8 1/4 and if I build it high enough I won’t have to stoop to work under the car on the lift . I’ll use my engine hoist to remove and place the axles on it . The height to be determined later when I get around to it .

Good morning Glen;) I trust your trip went well and made lots of memories;)

I've discovered that it will be easiest upon installation(some day) for me to put the leaf springs on my stand, then axle. Then I would install as an assembly by just lowering the dart down onto the assembly. That make sense? lol

We’ll we are still on the rally circuit, currently at #2 on this round trip #3 will also be at this location and then we’ll head home Friday.

After seeing you solution I got the bug to build one . It sure will make installing the axle a lot easier then doing it on the floor.
In my case I’ll set the current axle on the rack and disconnect the u bolts shocks brake flex hose and park brake cables and shackles . Then swing the springs down and raise the car up leaving the axle on the stand , then use my engine hoist r & r the axles and put it back together.
Sound like a plan to you ? It would be safer than balancing the axle and springs on the rack . Besides it would make adjusting the pinion angle easier.

How smart we've become~ brains over brawn! save our backs! ;)

Then, I took some time, which I have plenty of, I had blasted the original intake from the first engine, and decided to pretty it up, even if I don't use it. Clear coated with high heat clear to boot!;)

From my '68 CJ5 restoration a few years ago, a most perfect resto;) I Love that diesel detroit green so much, I'll be painting my rear axle/ suspesion parts that color.
