64 Barracuda slow going.

Yeah the bumpers on my 64 are in pretty good shape with only some minor piting on them. I will try to give them a good polish when I get around to removing them prior to paint (hopefully this year) .
The headlight bezels on mine were trashed though, I had to use "Liquid Steal" and bondo to smooth out all the damage and painted them with aluminum paint and clearcoat.
Sorry I didnt post any after pics.
Good luck on your 65' keep plugging away at it and youll be daily driving it in no time.
Great Idea btw on the lug removal. I was able to have the shop that sold me the tires punch my left hand turn lugs (rear only) out for free since I bought my tires from them. I got lucky there I guess.
I have lots of 64/65 parts and connections they are my favorite cars ever click on my pic for my telly #

Winston, I'm looking for the usual. Bumpers, headlight bezels and interior gold door panels for my 65 barracuda

Same here Winston...I'll be looking for a good rear bumper for my 65, here shortly. I made a note of your phone number. Installing a new gas tank tomorrow.

Ok new update, last weekend I finally got around to installing my new Mancini electronic ignition conversion with new distributor, coil, plugs and wires.
It wasnt too hard to do and Iam super stoked that I was able to do it myself.
I was going to have a shop replace my headliner but they said the rear window has to come out to do it right. So I will just wait until its closer to being ready for paint.

Finally getting started on interior work, installing the carpet kit myself and its taking along time but worth going slow.
Ive asked around about getting the seats done but most upholstery shops around me want $1500 to recover the seats yikes.
Looks like ill be tackling that myself also once I can afford the covers and foam.

Yes sir, keep at it. I told my wife this morning I was going to the garage and if I only finish one thing I will be one step closer. After 5 years it can be discouraging. But then, if you step back and count the small things that have been done, they all add up.
Good luck, and keep at it. One step at a time

Thanks Tadams, right you are!

As far as seat foam, Google recovering dodge seats with hobby lobby foam. I found this interesting. I know this is a dodge truck, not a Barracuda, but the idea is the same. A low cost alternative maybe.
After going back and seeing the pics of yours, yoy are light years ahead of where I stand.

Ok I finally have a couple of new pics to post.I got all the surface rust cleaned up and the carpet installed and put down some Dynamat under the new carpet. Now im still trying to decide if I should recover my seats myself with new foam and covers from online or pay a local upholstery shop to do it since itll be the same cost but no garuntee on how itll look when done. Im looking at about 1200$ for front and back seats either way I go....any suggestions.
Paying a shop allows me to choose the color with more options.

I ordered my seat covers and will be doing them myself. I have taken the covers
Off of one of the seats and it really doesn't look so complicated.

How was your foam? Do you need to replace it also, mine is totally shot.

It might be worth my time to do it myself and save about $200 as well as get a more original result. Plus the shop I spoke to today said it would take 3 weeks to get done and I figure I can do all 3 seats in a weekend maybe. Thanks for the feedback Tadams, looks like ill order a set of seat covers and foam this week and give it a go soon.

My back seat foam is good, the fronts are not so good. I have the seat covers that are the original color and style from the car. I'm not one to change from the way the car left the factory. I ordered the upholstery from Dante's, but it came in Legendary 's boxes. Watch for a sale and you may save a few bucks or shipping charges if nothing else. If you google seat cover installation you will find some u tube videos that will show you what you are getting into and how to do it yourself. Good luck with your project
I'm sure you will do a good job. You need to check delivery time when you order, seems as though it took several weeks to get mine.

Ok ive finished the carpet and I have this piece left over but I dont where it goes, anyone know? It definitely goes with the kit and isnt scrap.
