66 Dart GT HT Whatsitgonnabe?

Btw, Ray, a friend of mine has some hops growing in his garden. He asked today on Facebook how to determine when they're ready for harvest. I would assume you're just the person to answer that question, no?

I had to do that to get them to fit under my header without rubbing. Get that majic box yet?

Not yet. Karl didn't get a tracking # from USPS either so I have no idea when it'll arrive. I sure hope it's in one piece!

Basically when the cones are sort of dry and papery to the touch. Also split one open and look for the yellow (lupiun) and if it is almost a florescent green they are good to go make sure he dries them right away at no more than 120f heat until they are dry. I get mine to 10% humidity but it is impossible without a dehydrator so around 40 is good for him then freeze them right away to keep mold from growing and ruing them.

Send him to homebrewtalk.com tons of info there in the hops growing section.

Valiantone is selling nice adaptors for cheap on here for the mini denso that position the wiring studs in a better location too.

Anders you will love this starter. Almost double the HP of the old stocker and less than half the weight of the old one.

And look what arrived today!

:thumbsup: With all the parts rolling in you should be really busy for awhile now. Those mini starters are definitely the way to go. The first time you have to install one while laying under your car you'll appreciate the lighter weight.

AWESOME - man, you just got busy didn't ya!!?
Yes. Definitely have some things I can start working on now.

I'll bet! Putting the old one in sure was tough!

Wow good haul, but whats with the huge bag of new grade 8 hardware.
I thought I needed a supply of surplus hardware. It' so hard to find over here, I have to order online and they charge a dollar per item. This way I'll hopefully be able to find most of what may be missing from the car and maybe help a brother or two in need.
There's a bag of used OEM hardware too whic I suppose you noticed.

The brake booster is larger than I expected and the MC is not the same as my old one. Could it be from a larger car or is it just from a later model?

Oh, I never posted those, did I? Here they are.

I didn't really comment on the pictures when I posted them, I had a date with my son. We just watched the first of the three Lord of the Rings films.
I'm super stoked about the stuff I got. A full gasket set plus a transmission pan gasket was very unexpected. Thanks Karl! I was expecting head gaskets only.
The ball joints are made in Turkey, flown to the states and then flown to Sweden. Whodathunk. :)
Super stoked to get a proper race battery cut-off switch, courtesy of @rod7515. Thanks for the terminals!
Those rear end shims are so high-tech ... Too bad one of the 3-degree ones was on back order. I guess 2.5 degrees will do in a pinch.
A bag full of OEM fasteners always comes in hand. Good picking of new hardware too, Hops! And thanks for the radiator bypass fitting!
Mitch gets credit for the clips to the heater box. Thanks a lot!
I do not know who added the lock ring and what is that plastic thing in the bag?

I can sure get going now! Wo-hoo!

I'm still a big fan of those Lord of the Rings movies. I haven't re-watched them in years.

It'll be interesting to see how well the brake assembly fits. Looks like you'll be spending a day cleaning up that booster.

I am too. It's difficult to believe they're fifteen years old by now ... I did feel that parts of this one is overly slow-paced at times. It really didn't have to be three hours long ...

I'm eager to get it apart. I want to know what it's eaten and if the diaphragm is ok. Cleaning it up will be fun! I love my wire wheels. :D

Hi Anders the booster and master cylinder appears to be mid 1970s disc brake 73-76 A body. Looks identical to the one off the 74 dart i stripped for parts.

I need to crack mine open and go thru it too. I want to get the halves replated with the gold zinc dichromate to look new again.

Awesome series. Need to crank up the surround sound and return to middle earth sometime soon myself. Have all the extended edition ( like they weren't long enough. Lol) So quite the time commitment to watch all.

Not power, but here's my MC on 75 Duster. Similar to one you just got with rounded front. This is a rebuilt, but looks like what was on the car and appeared original. Returned a couple like your other one before finally found this..

The plastic Tee is for your windshield washers. Mounts to left side of the cowl. Should be a hole there for a sheetmetal screw.

Thanks Matt and Keef! Ok, then the booster should fit and maybe even give me extra powerful brakes since the diaphragm appears to be much larger than on the older boosters, no? It would depend on the MC areas too, of course.

Thanks also for the sprayer help, Matt! And whoever sent it to me! I'm suspecting you, Ray. :)
