66 Dart GT HT Whatsitgonnabe?

Ok, you're probably going to roll your eyes and shake your heads but I swapped wheels today. I bought a set of JB slots from Ulf and sold my Shelby slots to a local guy. I've leaned heavily on the guy to join the forum and he just might. He's owned a few US cars and just recently bought his late uncles (currently his sisters) '66 Dart convertible. Hopefully it'll show up here soon.

Anyway, here are my new rims:

They're 14x6 with 185/85 and 14x7 with old 215/65 respectively. Center caps included!

I'll need to find some better looking lugnuts, though... Or make my own?

And ... The Box is shipped! @krazykuda left a big box with USPS today so pretty soon I'll have lots of new stuff to show!

Why change rims? Well, I had four 14x6. Now I have 14x7:s in the rear. Makes sense, doesn't it? And the swap only cost me $200.

Yep, here it is...

I think the swap to a larger rear wheel will look better. The Shelby wheels really didn't have much of a different look. Now you still need center caps for them.

Actually I don't! Four original center caps were in the box!

Here are the Shelbys for comparison:

Well, I don't know about progress. I just keep buying stuff, some of which I already have.

I keep buying parts too. Someday i will get this jigsaw puzzle back together. And now i have 2 of them a 67 notchback , and a 69 notchback. Just bought a full set of front disc brakes from the spindle out for the 69 notchback off an 84 M body $100.

Pix. Junkyard guy turned the rotors on his lathe for me. No charge. I used corban 35 on the machined metal to keep it from rusting in storage.

Right you are, Ulf. I feel like a hoarder, though.

It was really nice talking to my new-found mopar neighbor.

Got a friend who has about 35 chevy pickups and suburbans, as well as 6 chevy caprice sedans, and no he is not a junkyard.

He has a huge building with a concrete floor. Big enough to house about 12 vehicles. Has an office, and a bathroom. Its so full of junk he has to work on his stuff on the crushed stone and clay out front of the building. He wont sell anything either. I tried to buy a headlamp switch for my chevy pickup from him. He wanted new parts prices for it, so i went and bough new from the dealer.

Now thats a hoarder. Likely when he dies his wife will sell it all to pine street salvage for scrap weight and sell the property.

I am a hoarder too. I have a 27x31 shop approx 837 sq feet. I have a bunch of nos, repop, and used parts for my 67 cuda, and the 69 cuda has boxes and boxes of stuff being stored in it. Plus theres the NOS, and used dodge daytona shelby stuff, along with one very dusty 1988 dodge daytona shelby z turbo in the corner of my shop with boxes piled on it until i can get to its resto, or find a buyer for it all. Until you reach this status in hoarderdom your still a small fry. LOL

Nice score! You can take the wire extensions off and it fits in a lot better also!
