66 Dart Owners thread

Thanks Mike! I am hopeful to have her on the road daily soon. Where do you suggest I go for a replacement fender tag (mine is rusty barely readable) and a build sheet? It seems there are a few different places doing it.
No clue there. If you can't read the fender tag I might be able to help. Many tags are rusty on the outside but readable on the backside. If yours is like that, snap a photo and I can reverse it so it's easily readable. tmm

Does Galen Govier still provide this service?

You will need to contact him. I don't know if he still does.

I am looking for all and any information on my Dart. It already has some really cool docs. The FCA Historical website seemed inaccurate so I emailed them. Gonna see what they have.

Heya Fellas. I am trying to source some used OEM or NOS Wheel Opening Moldings for the 2 passenger wheel wells. I do not see reproduction ones in my C/I catalog. Does anyone make a quality reproduction?

Thanks in advance!
~Jimmy

Here's the new addition to the collection. My second D/Dart. Has a 380 HP 360 crate engine in it. Also has 4.56 gears. Of course it is a 4-speed car with the original Inland shifter. I've been working on putting all the loose parts back on it. I screwed up and added too much fuel to the tank. The paint is bubbling a little now. I think it was painted back in 1989 and touched up in 2005 with Sikkens Acrylic Lacquer and a clearcoat.
lil mope -- what is your initial timing set at?

Hotrodhoodlum -- Was wondering what brand and size rims are you using. I really like the look. Are they small bolt pattern? And lastly, what size tires are mounted on them? I've got a set of 14x6 Cragars and want to put 205/70R14's on the front and maybe 225/70R14's on the back. Going to go with the raised white letter BFG Radial T/A's. My other option is a set of sbp rallye wheels I have laying around - 14's on the front and 15's on the back. Not sure of the offset on them.

After about a 6-7 year hiatus, it's time to get back on my pile. After the rear suspension is done, it'll be on to the fun stuff. Glad to see this thread still going.

I’m ddartdude’s son, and just picked up this 1966 Dart GT HP273 / Column shifted auto, non-console car. Power drum brakes and a 7.25” sure grip rear end. Looking forward to making a good driver out of it for next summer.
