Wouldn't be easier to cut the threaded bung out and reweld a new one on the shorter shaft

Found a little time over the holiday to start on the rear suspension.

Cut and drilled metal for the lower arm hangers.

Chop saw. Trued it up on the lathe.

Damn. Looks nice. I have a cheap Harbor freight metal chop saw, with a good blade, but it never comes out straight, even if I cut square tube.

Finished setting up the rear suspension.

I fabbed some sub frame connectors out of 2" X 2" square tubing and welded them in place.

Everything is VERY tight with the wheel tubs and the 4 Link. I'm running 3" exhaust so I have to route the pipes above the floor.

Hmm, I got RMS 4 Link and 3" TTI pipes. It's all tight but I think it will all clear. I had thought about running the pipes underneath the rear axle if I needed clearance.

I wanted to run mine all the way to the back, but with IRS, differential cooler, dry sump tank, and battery box all taking up space, I had to go to NASCAR oval tubing just downstream of the mufflers and turn it out just ahead of the rear tires.
