I don't believe it was ever used on a production car but I could be wrong.
Hung the doors and deck lid tonight, Still need to fine tune the gaps but it's looking damn good. The fluorescent lights make it look green in these pics. I also set my dash insert on the frame to see how much material needs to be trimmed off the frame. Quite a bit by the look of it.

goddamn that looks good. very inspiring for my build as well. my rust is looking a lot less depressing.
Hung the hood and fenders tonight. All the panels are ready for final alignment but I think I'll wait until the drivetrain and weatherstripping are installed for that. It already has a coat of dust on it so not looking too shiny right now. Gonna take it outside this weekend to blow off the dust and get some daylight pics. The damn lights in this building make it look green.

Looks great!! Last time I checked in on this thread it was the day it got painted but no pictures yet. I was soooo pissed! It was worth the wait, it looks great.
Spent the weekend painting parts of the car. Got the floor pans done and painted a bunch of misc brackets and latches. Pushed it outside and dusted it off. Took some outdoor pics but the reflection makes it hard to see the color. I also did all the necessary cutting on the dash frame to get the Peak Dashes insert to fit. Alot of cutting required on my 67 dash frame to make it fit but it turned out great. I put the hemi scoop on tonight and it looks killer!!

Looks incredible. A flat black tail stripe would look killer, IMO. Looking forward to more pics.

I would use a sticker so it can be taken off if you want to change the color or don't like it.
That's exactly what I planned on. If I do add a stripe, it won't be for quite a while. Pretty low on the list and not a priority.

The sign painted on the door of the service truck in post #285 is very fitting. You can tell from the clarity of the reflections in the paint of the outdoor shots that the finish of your paint job is extraordinary. Really nice work!! The car looks great. L8r
Haha, yep I guess so. It's one of our company trucks. Wait till you see the paint after it's cut and buffed! Probably gonna wait a few weeks before i do that.
