67 twin turbo dart

Well couldn't find my cutting wheel attachment so just get the return line hose on and put the fittings on the turbos, had to oblong the return holes for the bolts to clear the 10an fittings.

Well got a bit more done, got the inner fender wells cut out for room for the turbos, cut. Got the feed and drain lines cut and on. Going to be very crowded in there. Glad my dad found my 1/8" npt tap and my cutting wheel mixed in with his, saved me some money. Also test fitted the side strips we want, had then extented a little, I know they are e body ones but we like them, the bottom of the big stripe will follow the body line on the side.

Just ordered these and a pair of 3" v band so I can start to mock up off the turbo.

Well got the intercoolers mounted, have to cut a bit more off the inner fenders for clearance of the piping. Put a battery in the car head lights work great, brake lights work but need to figure out the turn, some reason I got red front turn signals, might just change them back to regular bulbs or put a load resister on each. But tracing another wiring issue on the relays. So wish I got more done today but didn't :( oh well least something got done.

Got the cold side all done today, just had to trim off a bit from the original design MadDart did. Had to roll a bead on the side I cut and onto the other connector pipe parts. Need to order a 45* 2.5"-3" silicone hose due to the angle of the hot side of the turbo to I/C. Got the blow off valves plumbed and the oil temp and psi wired up. Course this is after I had to cut out some more from the inner fenders. Parts for the exhaust will be here next week and then to start on that.

Got the 45* adapter hose in, hot side is done now, got the mid plate clearnaced for the exhaust, was going to get the wastegate dumps done but for some reason thought it was a 2.5" pipe, yeah I was off a bit lol studied me should have double checked before ordering, its 1.75" so got some new pipes ordered to get this done. Also need to order once I can some transition pipe for off the turbo 3"-3.5" stainless steel.

Yeah its so close, just waiting on parts not making as much money as I was in Cali as I am here in Idaho but well worth the move. So that part has shown down a little but almost there and ready to fire.
 
Parts came in. Waste gates dumps get built during the weekend. Radiator hoses will go on and new headlight switch. Just need to order new led flasher resistors which the company I got the bulbs from now offers them that have no volt requirements like stock ones or factory ones. Also changing the PVC and breather to an fittings, found out 12an will screw into the grommets and will connect the 10an on the other side to a oil catch can/ breather.

i see you have the same hood latches as i do. love them darn things. mine lock with a key. cant wait to see you fire this baby up. i feel ya in the giant list of little **** you forgot for 200 alex.
 
Yeah those hood latches are awesome, mine lock too, wanted them so I can drive to around and not worry about anyone being stupied and opening my hood, which I doubt anyone would but just to be sure. Its nice the list is getting smaller. Hopefully real soon I can, will post a video of it here. Just need to get a new 3"-3.5" flare piece I cut the ones I bought though it was a 2.5"-4", marked it all good and when I cut the first one it all went to crap somehow with the cutting wheel, so need those and two more of the 3.5" round to oval adapters for the other side of the exhaust.
 
Busy weekend, rebuilt my side fence yesterday, was all busted and didn't work very well when we bought it. But today worked on the dart, waste gate dump tubes are done, both exit on the outside frame, checked clearance for the tires I will have one there, plenty of room. Also got the 12an to 10an fittings and cut the ends off the 12s to clear the baffles in the valve covers, got those in, just need to order the oil catch can and get the fittings for those.

Not to bad for a very much amature welder. Welding is fun. Just using a MIG. Dumps will get wrapped before fire up.

Designing a exhaust system on the floor on your back is not fun lol oh well work with what you got. Starting working on the mid section got part of it done. Unfortunately the angle was a bit off and I cut a little tiny bit to much so to make sure the 1/4" gap was covered just made a collar to help cover and welded it all closed.

Got the rear part hanger welded and bolted to the car, welded the flange for the 4" side to connect to the down pipe. Welded the flange and some pipe off the turbo, need to order some oval 3.5" pie cuts to connect it to the rest of the system off the turbo. Then onto the other side. Going to put a oval 3.5" h pipe on it just for tone and sound, I know turbos don't need it but figure why not lol. Also bought a welding table this morning so I don't have to weld on the floor, was using jacks to hold up the exhaust pipes and welding.

Got the one downpipe finished, need to order a 3.5" v band to help split the downpipe and the mid pipe to help ease it in and out in case I need to remove for plugs. On to the starting the other side this next weekend. Then remove it all and wrapped it and fire her up.

Well got through other down pipe done today and one 02 bung welded in, just waiting for the 3.5" v bands to come in, ordered them Friday. Then just the mod pipe for the pass side and cut the end 4" pipe to fit and a H cross over and the exhaust will be done.

Got the 3.5" v bands in Friday, finished the driverside downpipe to mid pipe today, started on the mid pipe for the pass. This some was note of a pain for some reason, but got to the point where I jelust need to finish welding some pieces for it and the cut the rear 4" exhaust and that will be done then just the H pipe and its all done.

Well for the most part the exhaust system is done, just need to drill and weld one more 02 bung and figure out the cross over H pipe. Will do that next time and then I can remove it all and wrap it all. Plus bend up a new brake line since the one was in the way.

Finally the exhaust system is done. Counter sunk the cross over pipe and welded it all closed, thought it would be better then contouring the cross over pipe to the main exhaust. Already removed all but the headers will do that next time and start to wrap it all. Also need to order just two more exhaust hangers for the mid pipe, will bolt it to the trans cross member just to help support the mid pipes.
