I have no way (or knowledge) to be able to post what I have. Sorry. Just wanted some feedback before pursuing for possible purchase. Thanks. Spook
Add up what it will cost you for the car, the parts, the interior, all the rechrome costs, engine and tranny rebuilding costs, shipping costs and materials to do it correct, then any labor you will have to pay out and count your time as worth nothing then you will have an idea of what it will really cost. Then reality sets in when you figure out how many things you forgot to add in in the begining and all the surprises that popped up. Don't worry about the cost if you have money to spend and it won't put you in a finanical bind later, just do it for the love of the hobby if you can afford it in the long run.
Not my first rodeo.... I guess besides the obvious cost of a total restoration the big question is do I really want an original car, or would I enjoy a clone that I build with the drive train that I can enjoy. Played the matching numbers game with Corvettes....not much fun actually as once you get the car finished you can't really drive it because of the fear of ruining the intrinsic value of an original car. Either way unless you are in the business of flipping cars one does not spend the time, effort, frustration and disappointment one faces in this car hobby except for love of the car. Thanks for your replies. Spook
And just think all this started when I sold my Viper with hopes of buying an A12 car or a hemi dart clone.... What a crooked road it has become. Spook.
