What exactly does the 7.10 mean? My buddy has the above mentioned tires on the front of his '63 Dodge 440. As far as I can remember, the tire sizes were something like F70-14 or G78-15 (in the '70s).
And latter on they remove the decimal point from 7.10 and flipped it over to become Chevy OIL caps! I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself.7.10 is the section width in inches and it fits a 15" wheel. Probably "somewhere" around 27" tall.

I believe they still use that old number system on farm tractor tires.
