Oh sweet that stuff is good too, I get you a 6 pack of Henry's root beer.
No plans will be made for October 7/8. Are you bringing your car this time?

I'm not going to jinx it by saying yes but Josh and I are planning on it, not sure if it will be to compete in stick class or test and tune. With the last few years being what they were I would just be happy to have it there but at least the worst is behind us now.

Badass, well it will be cool either way!

Ok I’m going to derail a post about as far as one could be derailed here. I know how much you like raccoons and you know how much I dislike them but even I have to say this is about as cute as cute can get.

Nasty creatures.
My old neighbor's old lady fed coons and skunks by hand every night.

A little update. I was at work to finish up some LS garbage for a customer who I promised his heads to on Monday morning, well let me just say parts guy mistake. Shorted me valves and the correct valve stem seals.
Well, I decided to load up my tunnel ram into the surfacer for the last time. I ended up needing to cut .062 off of the top mounting surface.
Wow, I really can't believe how much that thing moved around.
This picture is after .025 and of course now I'll need to redo the top of my runners for port match. This was a very difficult square up again just like the flanges.

I drove 10 miles for some grade 8 bolts and hardened washers and installed the top just to see how far off it is & it isn't bad, a real quick blend and burr finish the inside will be completed

Looks awesome!
Thanks Jared.
It is getting very close to going on the Dyno.
I'm waiting on my carb tune parts, (jets and air bleed blanks) I need to weld a screw on cap bung to my valve cover and put it on probably next weekend.

Looking good but boy I hate seeing bolts in places like that. I’m sure you will use some red LocTite on them.

Yeah I know, I plan on using red loctite but I now wish I would've welded it all together. I guess I can still do that and not warp it too bad.

As a Millwright and those in the aircraft repair business safety wired a lot of equipment. But the only way you could safely wire that would be drilled bolt head to bolt head. And with engine harmonics I wouldn’t recommend it here because of the length of wire required in this case.

Drill a small hole in the runner dividers and safety wire through that?

What a masterpiece ...now that's some nice shaping..time is on your side...

I think I’m overthinking it and red locTite will handle this job.
I'm going to red loctite the bolts and then I'll burr finish them so they look cool.
I will keep an eye on the bolts, put a locator line on them, if they move I'll make a permanent fix.

Coming down to the last bit of stuff, trying to seal this thing up so it's not sucking any air in except through the carbs. So I got this weld on oil filler with screw on cap deal.
I guess everything is a pain in the but to weld, I need better lighting
