Good to see your safe over there. Stay that way, you got a lot of work to do. Prayers to you and yours.:coffee2:

Thanks thunder...I appreciate it, I don't think I'll still have a painted car although I was promised and guaranteed it would be done...I really doubt it.

Update: Just spoke with the painter and am told the color will be sprayed this week, so when I get done with my deployment there will be a car waiting to put all the new parts I've been ordering on to.... I guess after 2 years in the paint jail it looks like things are looking up.

Stay safe. Paint jail sucks a bit. I was just pulled back from going on trip 5. More time to get stuff done before it actually happens. Good luck.

Sounds like you will need at least a week to open all the parts boxes and hug your car....oooops, I mean your wife.

Nope, I'll be like a kid at Christmas..tearing open box after box so it won't take that long, plus a few parts are being custom made and are still being built or are yet to be built till I get home and get a few more measurements before finalization.....I'm still having some doubt's that it will be painted but he said the body shell would be ready and the doors and fenders within a few weeks, I heard that story before. I still need to order my 727-4 Cope Racing Transmission.

I was just wondering because I just paid 1850.00 parts plus 200.00 labor to rebuild my 727. Guaranteed to be bullet proof into the 9's ................

John Cope recommended adding a Billet Drum for anything over 500HP. plus I get a "freshen up" down the road included for that price. I would assume for the price of your parts, yours has the Billet Steel Drum also. It looks like Larry Jeleniewski runs one of Copes transmissions in his killer cuda.

Ross,

Just tell your paint guy that if he thinks he hears a drone circling overhead, it's probably nothing.

Good to hear your coming home. Hope your car finally gets paint. Take some well deserved rest. We'll see you back to work soon enough. Welcome home.:coffee2:

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the support. When I get back I should have about a month off before I have to go back to the base to work, So I should get lots of R&R during that time, the wife works days so as long as I have the car back from paint I should get something accomplished.
