replacing the fuel pump pushrod I replaced main jets and metering rods to
just below stock setting (4% lean) and the 383 loved it! I don't think that
sherriff even saw me go by him!! But I know he heard me!:shaking2:

no problem.....I conceded many posts ago....the 750 (leaned down) works perfecto!
it is hard to judge what the 650 was doing....we were fighting a set of cheapo spark plug wires and the motor would not pull power with either carb at that point.

Spun, In the Edelbrock Calibration reference chart [carb #1411) I went with
the 1 stage setting, lean, 4%. Main jets are Ref#4 Jet 1431 (107) and
metering rods 1454 (073 X 037). My motor seemed to like that very well.

Thank you very much! We can all use a baseline setting for motors
with similar cam, compression etc to keep us from getting lost.
