A-Bodies...Big Motors / New Hemi Duster - FINAL ASSEMBLY

-
One of the upgrades Denny is making to his silver Duster for spring
is the installation of a REV-N-ATOR replacement ignition box with rev
limitor and advance curve improvements.

Read the story on this piece in the latest MOPAR-MAX online magazine.

Steve Magnante, who wrote the article, is an acquaintance of mine and
he reports that the device works well as advertised.

I'm shocked that Denny isn't running a MSD style ignition....something hidden out of sight for a "stock" look. I saw that on a Orange 70' Dodge Dart somewhere and it really cleaned up the under hood wiring harness.

I really don't understand why he needs that. He never drives the car and when he does, it only into and out of the trailer or it's never over 50 mph. JUST SAYIN'

I heard that guy fried his whole ignition harness when the MSD, mounted
in the glove box, overheated and failed (NOT....LOL).

He needs it because he can set the rev limiter to 3,000 rpm in case Tod ever drives it.

Actually it's just for show. I happen to know he has an unlicensed nuclear accelerator
hidden in the trunk (got it from Blue Missile).

I thought he was going to convert to Lithium-ion batteries in the floor panels so he could qualify for that energy tax credit offered by the Government.

Not room on the roof for enough photon producing equipment. May have
to convert to a New Yorker station wagon to make it feasable.

REV-N-ATOR?

Is that one of those Popeil thingys?

Slices and dices?

I used to have a Bass-A-Matic.

I just about pi$$ed myself laughing so hard......GREAT one JL

The box got killer reviews and made pretty remarkable gains. Sucks you still need a ballast resistor with this setup

Uh.....If your sitting in the car and holding the steering wheel, doesn't
that constitute "driving"?

....and If you're running the winch off of the battery that was in the car,
that's sorta like runnin' off it's own power; isn't it?

Well, none of that stuff really happenned. I was just pullin' your leg.

Hey!....He drove it....in September I think....When he had to clean the trailer floor.

what a ball buster......my tweek turned into a twerk....I got fu*ked by the carb guy. a FUBAR jet caused major repair to my motor. Of course , the 120 mile drive home from Columbus confirmed the issue....along with the teardown shortly thereafter. Other than the wiffs of smoke...it was pure fun!

not to mention I get to design and work on other peoples hot rod projects.....not complaining at all....just say'n
