doubt it cost that much for paint.....

for the labor, paint, etc maybe but not just for the paint.

You might be supprised, some paints are very expensive, then you have to have special base and special clear, it all adds up. 2 - 3k very easy.

Just a few quick pics without showing too much. Denny
was starting to put the seats in when I left tonight.

Graphics done. All glass in including windshield. Door panels
installed. Tailights, emblems and trunk lock installed. Lots
of misc small details being checked off the list.

Interior frame rail covers being painted. Still have to put the
SS trim around the front and rear windows. The red seat belts
are on the way. The guages are still sitting on the bench.

Very, very close.

Looks like he is on track.....good, then the garage will be empty to make room for the Demon

Did I miss or forget something...what happened to the shiny crager wheels and BF Goodrich combo...Personally I love the painted steel wheels...It would have been nice of thrown in a side shot to let everyone not going to the Nats to see what there missing.....you guys are keeping a secret better than the military...If I want info around the base I just go to the local diner and listen in to the other tables they know all our secrets...looks great from what I can see that is.

better not go near my favorite pizza place in Plum then.....we'll post some pics (for the no-shows and my long distance buddies) when we get back from Columbus...don't want to spoil the surprise....hope ya' like it

ya gotta see it.....to believe it.....pictures don't do it justice......(only my opinion)

I will volunteer that the wheels (he has 4 different sets)
have nothing to do with the surprise.

So what could the surprise possibly be?

1. Secret superchargers?

2. Trunk lining woven from the wool of baby lambs?

3. Melodious kazoos skillfully hidden in the tailpipes?

4. Live goldfish swimming in a recess in the dashboard facia?

5. A depiction of Tom Hoover blessing the rotating assembly?

6. Mopar "barbed wire" graphics scheme culminating with real
....barbed wire wrapping around driver's area?

7. Actual EPA testing revealing 43 mpg due to Gear Vendors overdrive?

8. Like a vintage Rolls-Royce; when running, the only sound you can
....hear is the clock?

9. Bootlegger oil slick and smoke screen features hidden behind the
....rear bumper?

10. Performance compared in initial testing to "The power of a dozen
.....transatlantic steamers"?

Anybody else have a clue?
