Hi boys and girls! Just got home from the Nats and got unpacked.
As OMM eluded to (and I'm sure 76 orangewagon will confirm), this
car is almost impossible to accurately depict in a photograph and
none of my feeble attempts came out with any clarity. Let it suffice
to say that, in person, the graphics will knock your socks off!
I must admit that I was a tremendous fan of Don Carlton and the
depiction of his paint scheme in shadow brought a sadness to my
heart and a tear to my eye.
I was fortunate enough to see it Saturday morning and regretfully,
Denny (and HemiMark) had disappeared to parts unknown to yak with
their favorite (and maybe some not so favorite) vendors. I spoke to
OMM (John) and he gave me the guided tour.
I will tell you all that the ingenuity and engineering in this masterpiece
are unparralleled. From the chassis, the engine, the drivetrain, the A/C,
the interior to the trim and finishing it is above reproach. Oh! and I got
to see 62BT409's Hemi Demon Sizzler too as they were parked side-by-
side. The Demon will make you swoon as well!
I was present when some well known magazines began circling in, vying
to be the first to feature the subject.
As my schedule dictated I had to connect with some friends from the
east coast so I may not meet up with the Master until next year but
I will be looking forward to it!
Kudos to you all for some of the most interesting stuff I have ever seen.
Sorry I , We missed you Doc........
