above, starting on the left is the Wire car, a high-tech, small block, super-light, second generation version of the Mopar Missile, next to the Wire car is the first Motown Missile, a Challenger, on the trailor, is the second Motown Missile, a Cuda (recently found in Canada and now in restoration ),....and at the far right.....THE Mopar Missile
I wish the Mopar Missile would get restored.... in the form as it was introduced in late 1972

As stated, the "Wire Car" has a Hi-Tech small block.

Well, the small block was hi-tech too as I believe that this is the program that
developed the W-series cylinder heads.

hey John, where were those pics taken? and isn't there a diecast of the MM Cuda?
wait till you see his fleet.....nothing out of the box either (he, Weeb, and I have that breed into us). All modified to more closely resemble the actual car.
Needs to build a Wire car....and where is my silver Duster die-cast???

The Hall of Fame Reunion in Henderson, North Carolina featured a rare gathering of Missile
Pro Stock racing cars on October 19-21, with the restored Missiles coming from as far away
as California.
On Sunday morning, the reunion featured a seminar on the Evolution of Chryslers Pro Stock
Missile Cars: Dodge Challenger to the Plymouth Duster wire car.
The panel included Tom Hoover, Ted Spehar, Dick Oldfield, and Joe Pappas, who were critical
in the creation of these cars. Discussions took up Spehars engines; the chassis, suspension
and aerodynamics of the cars and the teams response to the NHRA rule changes between
1970 and 1974, when Don Carlton shut down his shop in Detroit and moved back to North
Carolina.

I do believe you will find the MOPAR MISSLE here in Fla. Ben Dunhoff is the current owner,and also the guy that put my slant 6 together for me !!
