Thanks Kieth! this summer for sure. We should meet up at Bob's new place.
That sounds good to me boys!
I'll have Misty back here by then and I can put you both to work...
Seriously, the interior looks great Al.

That works!

Thanks Bob! I moved onto the exhaust and ran into a little trouble with my torsion bar adjuster. Trying to work things out with the Vendor.

Did I mention the exhaust pipe on the drivers side was a tight fit.
TTI places a nice smooth clearance dent on the pipe to clear the torsion bar.

Everything you do under the car looks like we are in a Nasa clean room Al. It's amazing what you do in that single bay garage!:notworth::notworth:

Hey Al,
As from the beginning you have not wavered on your rebuild. Are you sure you have never restored a car before, cause this is one of the best amateur restorations I have ever seen! In my opinion Attention to detail is what sets one rebuild off from the next. Considering the one car garage and mostly your hands on, this build is Top Notch! Your on the home stretch, so stay focused and Congrats on a job well done!!!

I'll second that! You can't appreciate the job he has done fully until you're standing in that 1 bay garage with the car and Al giving you a recap of what he has done. OUTSTANDING!

Wow! Thank you for the Kind words Martin!

I feel humbled by what you have written because It's been learn as I go and have relied a great deal on this forum to get me through some big hurdles. I have to also give a great deal of Credit to Mark and Tom (my Paint and body guy's)

Trust me This is my first Car build. I've done some Motorcycles and work on my previous cars but this is my first full restoration.

Thanks again and hopefully the next time I'm down your you'll get to see it in person :)

Thank you Bob!
If I had to do it over I'd build a sweet garage with lots of space to restore a car and some dirt bikes ;)

Keep working on your garage! :)

Al,
Back in post #584, what are those black struts for that look like they bridge from the oil pan rail to the inspection cover face of the tranny? I have never seen anything like that before. Thanks and keep up the great work! L8r.

Thanks Jim!

Te struts seen in Post #584 are the factory engine/trans support braces. Most of the time you don't see them installed. There are two bosses tapped into the engine block for them. My understanding is that there are two types, pre 72 and post 72. I have them posted in aside by side picture for comparison.

She sounds real pretty Al.
Congratulations. I had to go right to youtube's site to hear the audio....

Very nice Al! Now you know you are getting close.
Thanks! Soo close but I have a problem. The car started getting too hot. like the coolant wasn't circulating properly or something.

It's just one hurdle after the next :)

This might be a stupid thought, but did you check to make sure you have the thermostat facing the right way? I put mine in backwards one time and it was a wonder I didn't blow the motor up before I realized what I had done.

Oh man! Was I a bone head? This is correct? Right?
