The car looks great! It's nice to see your son taking an interest in it.

Up to my ears in 727 valve bodies lol
Comparing a modified 68 to a stock 69.

If you're interested let me know know and I will take detailed pics

Trans is working wayyy better! I removed all of the B&M kit and used a stock plate ( thanks for the plate Tracy)!
All positions are functioning well.
Drive shifts are firm and well spaced and I have kickdown.

Big Thanks to ToM (VOETOM) and Tracy (Fishy68) for the help and advise. Two great guys!

Also, I found it helpful When setting my kickdown linkage to drop the pan and look at the throttle pressure cam.

Some finishing details under the hood.

Hood Insulation, electric washer bottle and pump with spray nozzles and hoses. Just missing the f connector that ties the lines together.

I really do need to wash the car.

I really like your hood stripe. It's reminiscent of the '70 b-body's treatment that I always thought was cool!
Thanks bvt! I like them too and they were certainly the inspiration for adding to the dart. In my opinion It ties in well with the pattern on the GTS bumble bee stripe.

Combating heat build up and boiling fuel, This morning I installed a heat shield to dissipate and a .025 thick isolator.
Hoping this helps.

Back up on stands for the winter project swapping in a Cope racing street strip 727. That's it 21" from frame rail to floor. That's about all I can reasonably get.
I'm not too proud to say it scares the crap out of me to lay under there.

If Bernie said free lifts in every garage, he would have had another vote. LoL

Gotta get the exhaust out of the way to get access to the transmission.

For a few bucks you can get concrete blocks for under the wheels incase she slips off a stand, you don't die

Id be leaving skidmarks too Al!
More pics of engine support? Wondering what it does exactly?
Yeah there is a little movement probably because it's up there but I still have two settengs left so I'm not topped out.

More pics of the support. Basically it bridges across the engine compartment and holds the weight of the engine. Each end of the support has A foot on each fender. I have the chains bolted to the front and back of the head on both sides. With the center of each chain held by the support screws. It seams to work well and should keep the engine from dropping when I remove the transmission.

I wouldn't let anything like that within 10 feet of that beautiful body& paint work! Yikes...

Sooner or later something always comes back out. It is the pursuit of happiness!

I would drop the whole K and all out the bottom same as it went in to preserve the paint and body I worked so hard for JMO.

A lift is in my future. I'm taking donations

Gents, wish me luck. I'm hoping nothing ugly happens. I have to move the exhaust to get to the transmission. The slip joint on the TTi system is right under the transmission support.

I've removed the cooler lines and linkages so far. Next up is the starter. Then the transmission.
