Hello all. I am new here - obvisiously and hope someone can help me out. I am inspecting a 68 Formula S Fastback tomorrow afternoon which appears very solid from the pics (don't they all?). Anyway I have not been able to identify any parts vendors for restoration parts on the web. I just finished a 54 Chevy pickup and had loads of vendors to use but am coming up thin on the fish. Any suggestions?

This car will need front and driver side glass, rear window stainless, interior items such as carpet/seat covers & foam/door panels/headliner/handles & knobs/etc. Any recommendations?

Hopefully I will have the cuda on the trailer this weekend and be a full fledge FNG here.

Here is a pic of the car I am chasing.

Pick up a few Mopar magazines theres lots of adds for parts companies etc.. there is also www.yearon.com. I'm sure some other ppl will chime in on this for you too. Good luck and nice car what engine and trans combo is it?

Legendary is a good source for upholstery. Layson's has a lot of unusual stuff. Just post your needs for the various odd items and someone on the site will likely lead you in the right direction; they might even have some to sell or give.

I live just north of Beaumont, TX. There are also some Houstonians here. Welcome.

Hi, just wanted to respond that you should be able to find just about everything you need online. I used R/T Specialities for very unusual items and Layson's provided me with a substantial amount of parts for my 66 cuda. I bought my interior from Ledendary Interiors and I can assure you, you won't be disappointed. MOPAR Muscle will be very helpful as well. Don't give up on the internet, its all out there. Steele Rubber Products is another company for all your window seals, truck, hood seals etc.

Thanks for the help. My concern was I was going to have to scrounge all the parts but it appears to be a satisfactory level of industry support for these cars.

The cuda I am chasing has the 340/auto/8.75 drive train setup evidently. I will be confirming that though when I eyeball it. Any clues as to engine number location and cast numbers I should brush up on to verify things?

The two main elements that appear to be missing is the drivers door glass and the stainless trim for the rear window. As with past projects if I am just patient the parts will come.

The wife is not happy with this one as I also have a 58 Chevy Apache big window that "was" next in line for the garage. Oh well. For better or worse as they say.

Welcome aboard! There are a lot of different places for parts, but starting here with want ads would probably be best. Also, if you want to get everything right away w/o waiting you will most likely have to go places like Year One and pay top dollar or ebay and try your luck. Let us know how things with getting the fish back home and good luck!!!

Engie I.D. numbers can be found on the block in 2 places. 1) on the drivers side just under the head at the front of the block 2) drivers side of the block by the freeze plugs. thay both will have a bunch of numbers but it will clearly in the center 273 or 318 or 340 etc...
