Grab one (or 2) pumps off the tank of a Mercedes. They are external in a little isolated "nut sack" off the rear of the gas tank. The 4-6 cyls have one and the big boys have 2 in series! Mount inline to frame rail with stainless zip ties over rubber sheet, done. In tank pumps are quieter, thats about it.
The guy with the early Cuda that has built an *** kicker small block, DVR (?) Cuda sent me a linl to a shop that mods a factory tank so an internal pump is used.....will fire up my old busted up laptop and look for the link......
I should have mentioned I had a in tank pump in our 68 cuda rag but it was no quieter so I took it back out so it is easier to work on. I have fast ez efi on two of my cars . They work well

Originally it was running with a carb @6psi but now I have an EZ-EFI system @45psi. The regulator ended up in the engine compartment with a return line to the tank.
