I'd look for a build sheet. If that's real, it's rare.
I'm looking at this car. It shows the A51 code 340 car picture isn't great but it's all I have right now
I was curious if anyone has an idea how many 1971 Duster Twisters were produced ? I had a 1971 ( still in my garage traded my brother for a 168 Dart post race car ) The Twister is original paint ev2 318 bench seat automatic still has the sticker on the back bought new in Twin Falls Idaho. I was the 3rd owner brother who has it now owned it before.
I cant sem to find any info on them ?
I spoke with Galen about this once and He claimed to know. He said he was saving it for his next book.I know this is an old post but I am looking for the same info. Mine was curious yellow, black stripes, scoops and vinyl top with a 318 3 speed.
I guess he would be the one to know. may have to keep my eye open.I spoke with Galen about this once and He claimed to know. He said he was saving it for his next book.
Hey simopar, I'm sorry I didn't see the image of a fendertag you posted earlier, like almost 3 years, haha. Gotta love FABO, never gives you prompts.Trying to fix this photo so it could be seen better
The ad!
Love that ad, and yes, they were just supposed to be a 'package', but there's too many stories that say that a few did come through with a 340 in a Twister for '71 and '72. So just trying to dig down. Cliff

Anyway, it certainly shows the 'A51' Twister code and is stamped 'E55' and has an 'H' in the 6th spot in the VIN along with the VS29 meaning Duster 340 - hmmm. I also see a 'U' which is a US spec car.
With that said, do you own this car? Do you know of this car or did you happen on this fender tag? It certainly is interesting - so please give us more info. Thanks.
