View attachment 1715198932 Then today, I finally took possession of this beautiful front bumper thanks to a great deal from @John Cailey and cross county delivery by @Mopar Tim who was coming out to Carlisle and picked it up in Phoenix. :thankyou:
Glad you are happy with it Keith. That is quit a thread you have going with your 75 Duster. You are a brave man!!! Happy motoring with it when done.

Red bumpers and blacked out grill are nice touches. Mine is "Kirkers" "Viper Red". - single stage paint.
was never a fan of painted bumpers or painted grill till Bob did his. Really made it work.
If you would find yourself going that direction, lets talk about the shiny piece currently hanging on the back of yours...

I only did it 'cause I used what I had, and mine were pitted really bad. I like how they look on the car with the blacked out grille. I added back a little silver paint in the parking light wells too. My paint is PPG Omni base/clear E5.
Sorry to post all these red car pics on your thread Keith! Just tryin' to get you a new rear bumper....

I think I did my old bumpers with cold galv inside. Having something better to copy with this one I wanted to get as close to original as I could. I believe it's just 'crappy chrome', basically whatever sticks in the process. I experimented a little with several silvers I had on hand. Ended up using Krylon Aluminum and then misting over it with Stainless Steel.

Lost in a sea of Chevys, lol. From this past Saturday at Dairyland Square Show. Just a handful of Mopar, but some good guys to talk to. I get in a lot of good conversations about the slant 6...

So good to see you enjoying your pride and joy! That is what it's all about.

So, last week on the way to the show...I get a few miles up the road and brake pedal goes way too far trying to stop. :wtf: Pulled in a lot and checked- fluid for back brakes is really low. :BangHead: Walk over to Giant fuel kiosk and see if they have brake fluid. Nope "and I will save you a trip, the store doesn't have it either"
Crawled around under it and nothing appeared wet, so figured it was a gradual loss. My bad for not paying attention and checking level more often. So I drove around the lot a little to be sure I had some brakes and then continued up the road a few miles without issue to get a quart of fluid at advance. Unfortunately I had already got some air in the lines. But with a double pump of the foot it was very solid. So continued on to the show.
I checked and bled. As far as I saw, nothing leaking. It was definitely losing most of the fluid right out of the MC cap.. Had some rust around the rim. cleaned that up good and seal still looks ok. It made a mess of the paint on master and a bit of the firewall down behind bubbled up. :BangHead: Siphoned out what was left in MC. Then ran a fresh quart through the system. Spongy brakes no more.
Had the pressure washer handy, so gave a quick blast under the hood to get the brake fluid off. While I had the front wheels off I hit the suspension with pressure washer. Then did the rest of the car. Took it for a test drive - all good.

Well I'm checking mine when I get home!

Re-aimed my headlights. I aimed them on garage door previously. Picked this Hoppy kit up for another member that found it on CL. Now I'm going to have to find one for myself...
They were not terrible on level, but the right one was toed in pretty far. I had recently commented on a headlight thread how good I thought they were with the relays and Nighthawks. So, should be even better - now that right side ought to do a better job lighting up road signs etc on the side.

:wtf: Are those things?!

I remember using them on cars when I worked at a full service gas station/ garage when I was in high school.
