Everybody thinks that it's super light, I feel they would be disappointed in knowing what a pig it still is in relevant terms. Lol
Well, the heavier it is, the more impressive it is. I can’t imagine you’re as competitive as you are, and are anywhere near factory duster weight. But at least now we know it’s a secret.

What is really impressive is he does it without a programmable box or data logging. Never seen him near a laptop so it must be true. :)

The car should be at Cecil County this Friday night and Saturday. The track is always great and the air is supposed to be good!

What do the BB A-body guys do for exhaust? This is impressive. I hadn't been following it, but damn, I will now.

Currently, there are no BB A body guys running. There is a “383” A body close to being finished. You would need to run the A body 383 exhaust manifolds to be legal. You might be able to run whichever fits, C or B manifold if you ask. They are better, but with the cost and scarcity of original 383 manifolds they might let you run them. Honestly, not sure a BB in an A body in FAST is going to be better that a small block. You still have to run a single 4 barrel, you don’t get much better head flow, no 904, but you do get about 100 lbs of nose weight you can’t get rid of.

Someone ran on a few years ago. Harry? Mid- 11 second GTS?

Jim Seiler had the one FAST BB a body I know of.
While he was running it he had the quickest low deck BBM in the series.
I think the “official” best ET for it was like 11.52.

A member on this sight is working on resurrecting that engine and putting it in a notch back Cuda.

The current ET leader in that category is Bill Dicicco, who’s gotten his “383” RR into the 11.0’s…….using the intake manifold from Jim’s engine.

Some of the time Jim ran the car it was a stick, super hard to do. I think a B or RB will be comparable to a small block, but harder to get there. I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing it finished.

I forgot Jim started out with a stick.
That brings back memories of him smoking the tires in 2nd gear during some runs at LVD.
