My charger was GG1.
NICE '69 Dart GTS! I always thought Green was the best color for the '67-69 Mopars.

My 68 Charger RT was originally that color, but a previous owner changed it to black. Its currently at the body shop and its going to be red this time.
My 318 68 Barracuda convertible, was the same color. It got changed to Surf Turquoise Metallic a year ago.
My 68 340-S convertible is still that dark green color, but it will be changed to Electric Blue Metallic after the Charger is done.
Over the years I have found that it's very difficult to find a 68 A body convertible thats not green. For years I passed on the green ones, but finally figured out I needed to just get the best car I could find and then change it to a non-green color. Only the last picture is still accurate.

My 71 Demon was originally F7 dark green but has been changed to a 1970 sublime color, my plan is to put it back to the original F7 when I repaint it, back in the day I had several green mopars and changed the color on them but now days green just seems natural thinking back on the past. It gives me a good warm nostalgic feeling to see a green one and has now became one of my favorite colors on them.

It’s crazy what sunshine does for this color. My 67 fastback was originally GG1 and I know I want it to be green again one day, I just can’t decide if I want to play with a slightly brighter green.

The allure to GG-1 is that you get multiple paint jobs in one color. At night it appears the sinister stealth black. In midday it’s vintage period metallic green and in the sunshine it pops like a diamond in a goats ***!

Edit: If GG1 was only a 68 color, the original on mine was Forest Green Metallic.
Yet Another Edit: Which was F8 in 69 of course, and was NOT called Forest Green Metallic, but named Jade Green Metallic!

BTW...
Don’t know if it’s the lighting, photos, paint mixture differences, etc., but NONE of these cars look like the same color green to me. If I’ve been staring at green too long and I’m starting to lose it just let me know.

No you’re absolutely right. That’s what has me so on the fence with this color. Either everyone’s painter has their own take on this color or it really changes in different lighting. More probably a little bit of both.

Mine definitely does change depending on lighting.
At night you’d swear it’s black until light hits it and it looks very dark green. Cloudy days it looks pretty close to standard Mopar dark green and on sunny days it looks several shades lighter, but still like a deep emerald. It really is a unique and beautiful color.

I came from a small farming town in rural Nebraska. Everybody around called this cow **** green. I like it better now, but I used to hate it. A friend of mine had a 69 Hemi Road Runner that color with a saddle interior. He sold it many years ago, the new owner restored it and it was stunning with new paint and clear coat.
