Cutting the fender wells in a squared-off shape was a common drag mod in the 60s and 70s. You don’t see it much anymore as the cars have gotten more valuable.Kick a$$ looking car , but the fenderwells look terrible !

My 70 Dart was originally f8 green, when I got it painted in base/clear it was definitely a chameleon effect. I will look for some good pictures of it.Mine definitely does change depending on lighting.
At night you’d swear it’s black until light hits it and it looks very dark green. Cloudy days it looks pretty close to standard Mopar dark green and on sunny days it looks several shades lighter, but still like a deep emerald. It really is a unique and beautiful color.
Did they still call it cowshit green after it stomped them at the Saturday night street races?I came from a small farming town in rural Nebraska. Everybody around called this cow **** green. I like it better now, but I used to hate it. A friend of mine had a 69 Hemi Road Runner that color with a saddle interior. He sold it many years ago, the new owner restored it and it was stunning with new paint and clear coat.
Unfortunately he passed in April of Covid. Just found out about a month ago. Good guy. Rick Huckles. Still upset.Awesome car! Hope the PO is still with us.

You are absolutely right. I bet if you went to 10 different places and had them mix F8 1969 green (I guess it was same color in 68, but a different code?) in 10 different paint brands, you would get 10 different dark metallic greens. I really like my green, but it is a bit darker than the original 1969 F8 Dark Green Poly. For instance, look at post #55. His car is F8 also, but definitely lighter than mine. But I like them both.BTW...
Don’t know if it’s the lighting, photos, paint mixture differences, etc., but NONE of these cars look like the same color green to me. If I’ve been staring at green too long and I’m starting to lose it just let me know.

Here is my 67 GTS. It was repainted in 1989 (per PO) and not too well. Makes for a great, low mile (just over 20k original miles now) example I am not too afraid to drive!

Thank you. That looks nice. I just remember quite a few 69 Road Runners and 68-69 Chargers painted that color.
