Needle and seat could be stuck and not closing with float.

You know, that is not a Holley, right? It's a "Quick Fuel" knock-off.I traded it for the holley. ..
Look closely at needle if something gets in there it won’t ever close. It’s common on Holley’s for them to stick. You can tap on the top of float with plastic handle of screw driver and it will sometimes unstick

Yes a quick fuel knock off. But the quick fuel, brawler are also owned by Holley.
I guess its kind of like calling a Lincoln Navigator a Ford Expedition lol.

Oh well... that's news to me. Thanks.
Carb came in early. So I'm going to clean it all up, go to factory specs (when I find them) then install it and see if it will start...
I am clueless on holleys... the guy I got it from said he could never tune it properly or get it to run right on his 318.

And you traded your Eddy AVS2 for it ?
Wow....This is going to be interesting.
What was wrong with your Eddy ?
Nothing... this has more cfm and more adjustability.
Well get out your American Express, because you are going to need it.
Not sure why people don't like the Holley, or Holley-clone carbs. I find them much easier to work on than any other type. Of course maybe this is because my 1st car had a Holley "780" #3310 on it. That was in 1973. I have the same (newer) #3310 Holley on my 340. No problems at all, runs great basically "out of the box".Lol I dont have any credit cards.
Why do you say that though?
Lol I dont have any credit cards.
Why do you say that though?
You traded away pretty much the perfect carb for your car. That's all I'm going to say on this.
Holley jets, power valves, pump cams, metering blocks, gaskets, come to mind. Good luck !
I have one, but its not like that one, its this kind, doesn't work to great though.
