Got nothing done today. Got my new calipers (I'm digging the gold!) But my rotors arent in yet. Also my other bushing hasn't arrived from PST yet so I cant install my other control arm. Hopefully they all get here soon!

Also my calipers are 2.75 diameter but the new ones are 2.6...bleh. I should run the 2.75 but I want to run the new ones.

these came in today as well for my rear springs. I think I need 12 more to do all of the spring bushings?

I also got some gauges. This scares the life out of me because I'm no good with electrical, hence why my blinkers still dont work and neither does my interior overhead light.

if those are for the shackles, you need 8 all together. how many are in the box? the front spring eye uses a different bushing

There’s something I suck at as well. Electrical stuff is like voodoo to me

So front bearings are installed, rotors installed calipers both painted gold. Driveshaft measured up to get a new one ordered (I totally forgot I'd need another one haha)

Still waiting on my bushing from PST, once I get that I can install the drivers side LCA, strut and torsion bar.

The goal today and tomorrow is to change the brake hoses up front, bench bleed the MC and install the MC.

Question-

Do I put the front shocks on without the rubber bushings since the car has some installed or do I take these bushing out and use the ones that came with the shocks?

the old ones are just stuck...those are the longest upper control arm bolts i've ever seen. do they have the cams on them?

Doesn't look correct. On my stock rebuild (both times) the bolt heads are to the outside of the brackets with the nuts on the inside.
new shocks, new bushings.

What are cams on them? These are the ones that came from PST with my rebuild kit.

I think you sir are correct on those ones being on backwards, good catch! Do you think it will interfere with anything?

For factory suspension ou need the correct upper a-arm adjusting bolts, 4 Ea. They come with flats for the cams to ride on and adjustment cams on both ends of the special bolt. Without them no one can align your front suspension. Classic, Year One and others sell repops but original ones are best if they are in good shape.
Been checking your build intermittently and I admire your tenacity and family participation-good job. You had better be a dentist to afford this hobby:)

Here's a sample picture of a cam bolt off the web. The "cam" looks like an offset washer and is used to adjust camber. I'm not familiar with the bolts in the kit you bought though.

Haha not a dentist yet, but I have always loved cars and working on them. Hopefully I'm a good dentist one day to afford multiple mopars.

I have the correct bolts, brand new ones with my pst suspension kit. I just didn't know if having them in "backwards" would make any difference?

FSM = Factory Service Manual

I don't think it matters which way the bolts go, but why do it the reverse of the way they were meant to go? If those new bolts are a lot longer than the old ones, I'd be very tempted to cut off the excessive length too.

Well brake hoses attached. The hard line nut was super striped so used a gripped plier to hold it and only twisted the hose. All tight and no leaks.

Need to go get a threader tool (tap and die) to rethread the bolt hole and a bolt that will fit it, ugh pain in the ***.

Also I'm having a hard time getting those bushings out... want to leave them and call it a day but I also dont want to be that guy

Put a Heli-coil in that hole. The kits they sell, for a particular size, are not too expensive and they work great. And you'll need it again someday. Trust me, you will. This one's for a 3/8-16 (not sure what size your stripped bolt is).

Heli-coil? 70 bucks! That's expensive I'm going to have to sell more parts... I was gonna rent one for free from orielys, but will probably also buy one at some point.
