Don't look now but here comes another Hurricane

Yeah, it's a cat 1 already.

Good thing we moderately over prepared for the last one...2 weeks ago.

When I moved to FL in 1988 I remember a hurricane once every 2-3 years.

Now it seems there are 2 to 3 every year.

You wouldn't know it Walmart and Publix were packed this morning. I am leaving in the morning for North Carolina to see my 2-month-old Granddaughter anyway so my adult kids will have to deal with it.

We are better prepared than anyone to take them, but the newbies are all running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Flash back to 2004.
That was a rough year for FL, for sure. I made 3 trips to FL in a bucket truck to work after storms. One trip, I had to work inside the fence of a Maximum Security women's prison! That was an eye opener...lol. We came so many times, Disney offered free tickets for any lineman and their wives and kids to come to Disney. I got 2 tickets, and we did a twofer trip to there and The Turkey Run.

It’s a cat 5 now please evacuate if you can and be safe

Morning friends. We've prepped as good as we can. My wife's original gtx is in a parking garage at the 3rd floor. The dart (no rear end) is 3 cinder blocks high in the garage. The garage floor is at 7' elevation. Predicted surge now is 10' to 15'. Having lost everything (including a 68 bb 4spd gts dart) to Andrew in 92' we're ready for what ever cards we're dealt. Sucks to have to rebuild and start over at this stage in our lives. But. Instead of having babies, we have grown kids and grand children. They most important things! They have left and will be fine.
I'm hoping my fello mopar friends will evaluate also.

Most of what we have is "stuff". 90% will end up by the street. The priority is the house. We will be ok and we will rebuild. Mopar strong.

The term "100 year storm" has been used in the past 2 days.

Great.

It will be catastrophic. If the eye goes north of bradenton, it will be biblical! Can't lose your sense of humor.

Good luck to all of our brothers and sisters in the Florida area of Hurricane Milton. I'm sure they were just getting started with the clean up from Hurricane Helene. A guy I contract to in in negotiation for communications restoration, I'm on the list to go whenever we are cleared to move in and begin work.

Other chickens to fry besides the dart at this point. We'll fix it. My dad's a TV repairman and he has an awesome set of tools.

You can laugh! My mopar wife just got a chuckle. Rtv and foam in a can any where I think might help! Will follow up! Lehgo.
