Drag Truck Part 2 "blackmark redemption"

-
Are legions of fans LOL are aching for an old-fashioned you versus me...lol..
But again like you said on with the truck...
Can't happen.... 2000 miles apart and no apple to apple comparisons. But yes, several would like to see it. I can't remember a time when I built a car for a "targeted" car to beat. I target my own car against it's own E.T. I've raced a lot of cars and tried to beat them, but didn't build for a particular car.

What is that some kind of ultra top-secret timeslip? I've never seen one little piece of paper over at covering up everything else LOL...
...
LOL... just as you asked - a 12 second ET slip. I found exactly that. Some clob-hop'n build I did in the mid 90's on a 2 dime budget.. LOL. 100% pure street - driven to the track and back home. I beat on that car for a few years...

What's the big secret about the rest of the time slip?...

I love the internet and how things are mis Understood... I just meant you and me doing our normal little verbal battle LOL not an actual race LOL

I can only think of one reason that the rest of the time slip is not shown...
Unflattering information....

I prefer 318hasvalvesthatwillfly... I got to give jab credit for that one I about lost it for a couple days LOL...

Show the whole time slip and stop being all sly....
Or will the truth hurt....
Now I'm sorry I even posted it... look'n to just tease ya a bit. But stick around and we might show you a 12 second ET slip from the truck this year with the small block

Back to the regular scheduled events. I have an adjustable manual brake rod, and the manual steering box. Can't wait to rid it of the pump, hoses, belt, and weight. I like my motors completely exposed when I open the hood. Quicker/easier to time, pull the engine, etc etc LESS IS BEST!! :D

please post pictures on the master cylinder conversion. is a plate needed to attach it to the firewall or bolt directly where the booster was?

I just went the other way from manual to power and there wasn't nothing to do at the firewall but I recall...

yes, there is an aluminum plate that will go between the master cylinder and the fire wall. I have it. I'll post pix when I do the conversion

That's because you have the old, 4 bolt master cylinder on your truck. My truck has the newer 2 bolt master cylinder, which is lighter and better in my opinion.

Well la-di-da LOL...
Many folks go to the newer style in their Dusters too, and the aluminum adaptor is needed. A guy here sells them for like 25 bucks shipped. I got mine from somebody else

Well like @abdywgn said, let's see it...
and try not to cover it up with a piece of paper and let only one little half of a bolt stick out LOL... So we have to guess what the rest of it looks like....:poke:.....

Won't be for a bit. It's in the storage shed, and suppose to rain tomorrow.

They look something like this. The one on Brian's valiant looks a little crude, it was a " have to get to work tomorrow fix".

Most people probably know this, but you need to make sure your new master cyl has the groove for the rubber retaining ring. Also. I had to shorten the pushrod as the pedal was too high. 318WR has this covered with his adjustable pushrod.
