Drag Truck Part 2 "blackmark redemption"

-
We pulled more weight out of it, should be down to about 3550 or a tad less. Also we have the headers installed, just need to run pipes and mufflers off the collectors. On the hedders, wow, I just dropped the passenger side in from the top without even taken the oil filter off. I let go of it and it fell to the ground underneath! No need to loosen any motor mounts either. Yeah, trucks have their advantages... LOL. I guess I haven't taken any pictures of anything, but I will have to do that. I think were going to put together a new video for my youtube channel and I can post that as well.

You aren't kidding about the headers, just checked the ones Matt got from Jadaharabi and.... Wow! Easy!!!

Outside of the headers, nothing really new to "look" at. Manual steering now, but I think I might have posted a pix of that?? Can't remember.
So are you just putting the headers on the LA block to get the exhaust fitted and everything else kind of mocked up and ready for the Magnum?

yes, when we drop the magnum in, it will be a fast swap, bolt and go. The 318 is pretty exposed right now. We eliminated extra wiring, power steering, coil is on the fire wall, now headers. I bet we could yank that 318 in 30 minutes.

We need some new pictures of the "Dreamweaver"... :poke:...
Here ya go.... Jake wanted a "Farmer Brown" look for a back bumper - wood. LOL

Oh yeah. Plan is in a few days to pick up 880 cubic inches of Mopar :D :D :D

Your current 318 with a 700 shot of nitrous...:D:D:D:D:D:D:D...
talk'n cubic inches, not horsepower. I believe I'm getting a great deal, but I'll know more when I go to pick them up. One is a running, low mileage 440, carb to pan. The other is unknown condition 440, but may run as well.

The dream continues......

I can honestly say, things are falling in place much quicker than we ever thought. We had a plan, and we are "going for broke". Let the cards land where they may... we'll not be disappointed. The journey is the fun!

Woop Woop!!..

Reconsidering the Pro Comp heads on the 440. I messed up, thought they were the copies of the Eddy RPM heads. I now believe they are the Eddy Victor head copies. I don't think I'll need them in shooting for our goal. We'll see.....

you ordered the wrong heads ? why do you think a 440 won't benefit from using the larger valve and port heads.

Raised 1 inch (not my picture). Offset intake rockers required. I believe 9.40" oil through push rods also required. I'm afraid these heads along with all the hardware to install including valve train will end up being around 1600.00 bucks. Don't know if my budget has that much just for the heads. I think I can get 475 hp with cast heads.

Must be nice to have head and block choices. You can mix and match for the optimum combo and only spend gaskets. Personally I think you;re gonna make it!

I just love this video of a D150 chasing down a '56 Ford...….

When you replay that video it still makes me think of this video...

:D

We are each enjoying this in our own way :D . His dial in time was 7.30 in the 1/8, so that would be low 11's. Just a classic video and right to the point. I love both vehicles in the video too... and the scenery
