I think the blocking process takes the most time.
Factory paint sucks and is best left to the survivor cars. When your car is parked at a cruise night or a show it will be next to a car with nice paint not an orange peeled survivor. To the average person it will look like you went to Maaco.
Yes John, Steve took my car out to Ohio to have the finish work done. They plan on working on it full force in two weeks. I told Steve that it would be cool if he could bring it to Carlisle for display.
That's a great pic of your car Dave. Do you still have her or did you find a buyer?
Well it's in good hands that's for sure! Are you going to do the final assy?Mike Ross is going to finish the Duster. It sounds like he has most of the long blocking done. I think that we will soon be into the home stretch.
I will still be doing the final assembly. Mike asked me to send out the fuel tank, filler tube, straps and J bolts so that he can spray the body schutz. After that, I will be doing the rest of the wrenching.
Yep, Changed my mind......where would I find another?? Who has your car in Ohio?
reminds me of what my wife said about me....but training was mixed in there somewhere.
the excitement sure is building here in FABO land waiting to see the outcome.
I've bought a lot of stuff from many vendors at The Nats, and Mike Ross ranks right up there as one of the best ever. It was when he first started BEA, and I think I got a Challenger Flip Top gas cap from him. Mike impressed me as being an honest and talented guy. Can't wait to see the results!
Garage is going to look great Kevin especially when your car is painted and sitting there and you can start putting it together. Thankfully mines finished and I can enjoy driving it now but the reassembly process when your emptying all those boxes and see it looking closer and closer each week is ultra rewarding. Can't wait for it to get painted.
