i think that was directed at asa :blob:

Yes, it was.

Not sure how when I want to eventually lower my truck.

Don't do that to a 3/4 ton that can make you money by hauling a big pay load. I would make this truck as nice as I could so when I pulled up on a hauling job I wouldn't get laughed at for it sitting on the ground. There is a nice white one ton dually around here for sale and he slammed it so now it won't even haul a trailer. He now has a gas guzzler that can't make a dime and hasn't been able to sell it. It is a shame because it is a really nice truck too.

Don't lower a work truck it doesn't look right and you will lose hauling and towing capability

Not if done correctly.... I can put either overload springs or air helper springs (bags) on the back and fully maintain my payload capacity and still look good. I'm not slamming the truck. I want to lower the back about 3" so that I can load the bed and not put so much strain on my back. Where there is fashion in my plan. There is also an equal amount of function to iy

That is the reason to go to Harbor Freight and pick up a small crane to bolt to the bed.

I thought about it, but
Couple problems with that
A: no hf, or similar store
B: no small fortune to spend on one
C: loss of cargo space
D: bed mounted crane will only pick up certain items safely.

If mounted correctly and you don't go over the weight limit you will be ok.
2. You can order on line and have it delivered.
3. If placed properly no loss of cargo space.

When scrapping it would be of little use, and I still don't have that kind of money. I've looked in to them and the least expensive I found near us was $875 used :(

Hey Check lookin good my friend. I would just leave the rack and paint it black to match the hood and paint the rest of the truck flat black or satin black. Put air bags on the rear so if a load is a little heavy it wont sag badly
