Got a new set of wheels!

Hey Check lookin good my friend. I would just leave the rack and paint it black to match the hood and paint the rest of the truck flat black or satin black. Put air bags on the rear so if a load is a little heavy it wont sag badly

Thanks Emilio! I like the headache rack, but it's welded to the rails which are rotting

I used to have the first on on a one ton flat bed. I used it to pick up the right rear corner on a Barracuda that I was retreiving and it worked great. I loaded a lot of heavy things such as motors with it too. If I didn't have the rollback I would still have it.

Chuck don't worry about it,if it's too expensive for you. You can end up like us in 10-20 years

How long did you have it?

I don't want that, but I'm getting close. :(
I'll pinch a few more pennies.

I bought my first wrecker in 2000 so I would have bought that lift 1996 and sold the truck with it still on it in 2004. The guy I sold the truck to was still using the lift when I saw the truck last in use during 2008. I saw the truck later at the salvage but the lift had been removed before the truck was sold.

Dang! That's pretty good for a hf special! If I get one, ill spend the few extra $ for the one with the winch

One nice thing is you can lift the top off the post where it swivels and store it if you don't want it on the truck. I always kept the post greased so it would swing easier. It was a dang good peice of equipment and I would buy another one if I needed it.

Changed the fuel filter and installed the driver side pads and rotor today on my lunch break. One of these days I will remember to take step by step pics....

I'll try to remember to take some of the pass side tomorrow

Well crap. I forgot to take pictures since I was a little rushed for time. But I also got the all the wheels and hubs painted

the black is good. its hard to match reds sometimes especially random cans from wally world or wherever. its hard to go wrong with black. are you going to do something with whats left of the random front side moulding? if it were me , i would just pull it all off. that stuff is hard to find nowdays.

I need help. My ac compressor don't kick on. I need to replace my blower motor resistor as its crapped out, but when I look at it. It appears some prongs have been removed and there is a pig tail taped to the harness on that black computer box gizmo (whatever that thing is). Can this be the compressor culprit?
