The Fan 960 (Calgary's sports radio station) was all trade talk, all day today. They called in all the weekday hockey guys and did the whole day on it. Including 3 1/2 hours of phone calls.

Some of the callers amazed me that they can work a phone (like one guy who said this trade put them 'over the hump' lol)

You sure he didn't say bent over and dry humped ? wait till you gotta watch these guys play so good one minute only to pass the puck to the wrong jersey for a break the next trust me you'll bang your head on the table watching hagman and white , mayers didn't earn enough ice time to form an opinion on his play which is a statement unto itself .
 
Interesting trades, if Giggy can regain his old form the Leafs might finally have a decent goaltender, it's been a quite while since they did. Their D just got that much tougher but they'll all need to play a lot better than they have, all of them have had a tough year, especially Phaneuf. It'll be interesting to see what Burkie does to get some offense back in the lineup. All the dead weight he got rid of was also 1/3 of the scoring.

I hope the Nucks can get through this brutal road trip without missing a beat.

PS did ya see the little fella rockin the Grapes outfit with Don on Saturday night ? all people know about is the stuff he says on tv you never hear about the stuff he doe's of air -Remember actions speak louder than words and his words are mighty loud .
 
Dang it I got to watch about 15 minutes of the second period and was too busy for the rest. They dropped the ball on this one Is. It's allright.Im sure they'll be O.K on this trip.

Nucks peppered Halat with 45 shots so I guess he was the difference there, didn't see the game.
 
The second period was an all out assault by the Canucks.I dont think Montreal had a shot until about 9 minutes into the period.

They got lucky with the win I think.
 
I watched the last half hour of the cannucks game and a little between periods of the Leaf game and Montreal's goalie was standing on his head for sure but they scored on Lougie even up so they earned the W . I like the Habs but I was hoping to see a battle of the undefeated in Ottawa oh well maybe Barfalo will beat them tonight .
 
So whats everybody's thoughts on the Olympics ? Can we beat the Russkies ?
And more importantly can the Leafs play the Sens twenty more times after the break ? 20 wins won't get us in the playoffs but it will mean we got Kessel for like a 17 or 18 pick overall { Sorry Wylde but it's been a week and I could keep it in any longer =P~=P~=P~} Go Leafs -GO team Canada x 2 -might even go see the gals play:love7:

Ya... ya..... ya..... The Laffs spanked our azz big time last Saturday putting an end to our record 11 game win streak. What the heck happened there? Guess we felt sorry for yazzz and let ya win a game. :-D That's the way I see it. Time for a rematch!

As much as I'd like to grind you on it , now is the time to put aside the rivalry and look to the gold , I think the gals got a pretty good handle on their medal but the guy's are looking at a lot of really good teams , especially the Russkies and the Swedes I think this will be the most competitive Olympics ever

The womans hockey team is AWESOME!! I think Slovakia's team needs to go back home and practice some more,lol. Canadians set a new record and spanked them 18-0...It was embarassing.
 
Yeah I felt sorry for them right up to the point where the play by play guys pointed out that this was the same Slovak team that beat Bulgaria 82-0 last year on 139 shots so I guess Karma really is a ***** , GO Red Leaf Ladies GO
