Yes, but the nice about Metric is this.

10 mm too big, but 8 mm to small. Well, duh. It's obviously a 9 mm.

I don't have to do any damn fractions in my head to figure what size I need. I can do the fractions, but at least with Metric I don't have to.

I used to crab about metric stuff too, but it usually turns out that there's a metric wrench that will fit 'most any SAE bolt. And they're all even sizes...no weird-o ones like 19/32 where a 5/8 is too big and a 9/16 is too small. Not that Chrysler would use any of these in-between sizes... :banghead:
 
Metric can also be handy if you have something that is slightly stripped. Find one that's close, tap it on with a hammer and loosen away. Replace bolt or nut with new. :D
