I can't help myself

well the full wheel covers are in , i've done a steel rim for my customers 70 more door dart and he wants his full rim covers from the 14 inch rims , problem was he started the car then bought it to me with a dana 60 and he had them build it in that 4 '' bc . so i made some 15x8's for the rear using his 14 '' rim centers and adding a ring from the 14's to my new build 15x8's so he could have his full granny wheel covers , not quite what has been done on this charger , but it is different .

I love the super sized dodge wheel cover looking wheels. I think if Richard Sias was alive today, he would approve of the look.

Sleeper. I love it.

When I saw your hubcaps they reminded me of the Super Trick hubcaps being made for Butch's next ride . Since no one would make a street look-a-like, especially in a 5" width for the front, I built my own. This is my test / proto-type made with a NFG scrap Super Trick center. The rims bolts on with a wheel adapter / spacer and the Super Trick hub-cap fastens to the adapter. To make the Cragar Super Trick center caps work, the adapters will require a small amount of fab time on the lathe, but will complete the illusion.

All four will be powder coated with a dull / brush- look matt silver. Fronts will be a 5" x 15" steel rim while the rears will be built with 14" x 15" Weld aluminum rims to keep the weight mass down.

on the left is a narrow 3-1/2" wide 50 year old polished Super Trick (not recommended for street duty, plus they tend to leak). On the right is the 5" wide, steel rim with Super Trick hub cap.

Sounds tricky to build, are you worried about thermal expansion, given the difference in hub and rim materials? Sure will look good on the duster

the powder coated aluminum Super Trick hub cap (bolted to the aluminum adapter) lays on top of the separate powder coated steel front rims. Not even close to being tight around the outer edge of the hub-cap with plenty of room for any expansion or contraction.

hemidenny does your company hdk make a early a k frame for stock type suspension ?

no, HDK does not, only the coil over conversion for the OEM K and of course the rack & pinion / coil over conversion.

Thanks for asking,

Got the cabin laser scanned this week. Interior work will start while the body is out for paint.

Laser scanned....now that is hi-tech, so much for my (caveman) pencil and cocktail napkin sketches. BTW, you have no idea the excitement I feel when your thread at the top of the Restoration page.

It’s like the excitement I feel when I write the weekly check

Cure for measles is 1 1/2 oz tequila, 1/2 oz triple sec , juice of one lime.
Oh yeah, the steering wheel is on-off.

The radiator surround is finished, if you're evaluating the surround, the can of beer goes on the left, the sandwhich on the right. Still shooting to get the car to body and paint by mid July
