its probably been about 2 decades since i had some, but they used to sell peanut butter flavored puffs at aldi those were the best
I'll add this, if you're out of assembly grease & there's none in town & there's no mail delivery eat a bag of pork rinds. In less than 24 hours you'll have what you need.
I had to look that up, I had never heard of the store. They do not have any locations in my state or any of the surrounds..... except Kansas but they are on the farther end of Kansas from me
I wasn't impressed with them. They sell their name brands, have an odd buggy rental/return deal, and you have to bring your own bags. Their produce was pretty decent though.
I've been two them on at least two continents, maybe three Funny thing, growing up they were all over the place, but when I popped across the border, there they were too but with a different logo (the logo you posted is what you would find in Germany) Turns out there are actually two different chains, both called Aldi, but called aldi1 and aldi2 on paper I guess the whole thing got started by two brothers who ended up having a disagreement about something (produce related, if I remember correctly) After the disagreement they each took half of the company and went thier own way...the only outward difference being the logo
Ah yes...the quarter system In Europe, this is very common Not sure why they brought it with them Same with the bags, most European supermarkets will sell you bags, but not give them to you for free They do save thier boxes for you though

As an aside, may be urban legend.. I heard that skim milk was once a by product and difficult to dispose of in the sewers as it would bubble/backup Also heard that kerosene(diesel?) was also a biproduct. Now hard to find and expensive
It was the other way around...gasoline was the unwanted byproduct. Nobody wanted it as all they wanted was the kerosene and fuel oil. Gasoline was considered too volatile to be useful.
They have a mechanism where to get a buggy, you have to pay a quarter. You get your quarter back when you return the buggy.
We've had that system for several years now, I think it was partially intended to stop people from taking the shopping cart home with them. How many people actually walk to the grocery store today?
