I think you are handling it in the right way and not dragging someone's name through the mud. Usually has a better ending by hearing the other side of the story. Sometimes things happen that he didn't have any control over. Good luck and keep us posted.
 
I think you should get a tracking no. by the end of the week...

UPDATE:
I just an email from the individual and he has stated that USPS has lost the item and he is going to send me a repalcement.
I am hopeful and will let everyone know when I get it.

Translation he saw this thread and decided to get the stuff shipped.wrong address then lost seems fishy but the good news is your getting your stuff and maybe he/she will not try this in the future.Maybe we should have a "CALLING YOU OUT" forum instead of a bad guy forum where we can direct the person we are having trouble with to that thread with threats of exposure if they drag thier feet too long.Just an idea differant than the "BAD GUY" as you could state your problems and let them decide if they want to play fair or get called out.
 
OK it is offical I have been RIPPED off as I orginally posted, things seemed to be working out NOW here I am today with still no CAM and no responses from BIGNASTY123.
Back in Oct / Nov I purchased a CAM from him and first response was he got it back in the mail he put the wrong address on the box. then it got lost in the mail then no responses at all. Then I started this post and started recieveing emails. I got an email stating he brought a new CAM for me and was shipped I should get it in 4 days that was on Jan 16th well guess what still no CAM and know no responses by email,

SO it is OFFICAL I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY BIGNASTY123

That said, I'm glad you were cautious about exposing someone on just suspicion. You have the wisdom to know that things do happen. The internet is a fearsome thing.

He (they?) apparently left out an axle vent bolt from a small order on Dec.31.
Easy to do?
I still don't have it.
I checked in this forum and there was one post about the dealer.
Someone said he was bad about returning emails and phone call.
Well, I'll just cut and paste here.
I had been using what appeared to be a pesonal email address.
I sent one to "customerservice" and recieved a reply.
I felt so bad about his response this week, I almost told him to keep the bolt. We are only talking about under 30 dollars.

sorry , completly my fault, i have it on my desk,, just had a new baby 25 days agoa nd its having some health issues so ive not been in and workign much.
ill send it out today.

Thanks fishy68, I just read his response, I'm not saying he did not do what he says but I am saying I have yet to recieve a CAM at all, or any response to several of my emails I have sent him.
 
This really is too bad. He has decent feedback by at least two members I recognize as well known FABO names. Hope this works out for you.

imhave sent a damn cam never gotmit back and so imboight another one and sent it out hope the problem is fixed but i really dont know what thencrap happened tomthemfirst one

I called him out on that other thread and I'll do it here. His story sounds fishy to me.
 
I did also, because tracking on packages sent through all carriers, yes even the USPS, is now INCLUDED!! A simple search by him, or you if he gave you the tracking #, would surely help this situation along!! Ignoring the problem and the buyer helps no one!!

My opinion?? If you're not ready to follow the rules and follow through on your end of the bargain, then don't list anything for sale at all!! Service after the sale is part of the sale, even when it goes against you in the deal. You can't just take the money and not follow up when there's a problem!!!

Just ask ADHD426 about our 340 crankshaft deal to see how customer service after the sale should be handled!! Long story short... I was out the part (which turned out to be too far undersized to use), the money he paid for it that I refunded, including the shipping to get it to him, but I would do it again in a minute to make sure that my buyers receive parts that they need, and back up my end completely!! His response said it all... He had lost confidence in buying anything online, but my response to our problem had restored his trust in people, and we still message back and forth on things!! Made a friend that probably would've never happened if not for following through to the end!!!

Weird how the member in question has been here since 08 and his reputation is now tarnished over a "used camshaft"??? Communication is so key now a days.

Oh just found out when I shipped something thru Canada Post last week. It fit in a small bubble envelope and shipped what is called "small packet" these are no longer insurable...up until the middle of January these automatically came with $100 insurance...not trackable but still insured. Well this option is no longer insured. Sucks cuz something I shipped($60) value cost approx $3...went non-trackable and uninsured...In order to get it insured and trackable it would have cost $20!! Just an fyi....
 
Well it seems he got his chops busted on his thread and he got huffy and left, not before some threats though. Hate to say it 38, and I hope I'm wrong, but I'd be surprised if he made this right after the way he spouted off like an idiot.
 
I just read his response on the other post.
First I paid for a new MP cam which as he stated was lost in the mail (OK happens- even happen to me).
Then when I emailed back he said he would send me the Hughes XAM which I questioned about being too much for my engine build. Then he came back with I just bought you a new CAM and will mail it. When asked about a refund I tried to work with him and left it up to him stating what ever he would prefer to do was fine with me,
I llike to give people the benefit of dought.
Thank you to everyone for the support and help OH and lastly by his last comment I guess I will never see neither CAM nor Cash
 
Just like my kids, whenever they get caught in a lie they get all pissed off and start yelling and screaming. That diverts the attention that they screwed up in the first place. Guy sounds like a nut job and needs to be banned...
