It.......

-
Just spoke to the shipper. They are telling me "IT" is in New Mexico right now. They still think "IT" will be delivered tomorrow, but aren't sure what time...

I have a floor shift column...but YOU CAN'T HAVE IT! It's MINE, ALL MINE...Bwahahahaha!!!

On another note, however, I DO have an A body center console and shifter I am going to sell to a good home. I can't use the shifter with a 518 trans, and I can't bring myself to hack up a factory center console. I'm not even sure if it'll fit in the car when I install my Corbeau seats, so I will be fabbing my own instead.

Very nice.....I'll have to check it out once it get's here....er...there. :)

Ooohhh you sexy tease.....:bootysha:

unless I absolutely hate the shifter setup in the....uumm..."IT" when it arrives, I'll just leave that in there. I would however like to change the"PerNunDle":-D for aesthetic reasons

The What????

..and is that a megashifter? I am actually looking at building one in to my custom center console when the time comes.

PRNDL...pernundle

It has a column shift auto column in it....so it still has the pernundle in it.:-D

I don't know what kind of shifter it is

So was that duster from Washington? I swear I saw it on CL there. How much was shipping to you place if you don't mind me asking.

Phil

Yes, it was from Washington. Shipping was 825 door to door......but it ain't at my door yet. Also, the shipper's communications are quite lacking. They have never called me when they were supposed to. Anything I've found out, I found out cause I called them.

But I'm trying to keep an open mind. When it gets here and I check it out, I'll let everyone know

Are cars hard to come by in Texas, I would have asumed that they would be in better condition down there. I am suprised to see a car being shipped from Washington down south like that. Don't get me wrong, I am looking in Washington all the time for good cars, but, I am in BC canada, and the condition is apples and oranges. even with me being 1/2 hour away from the USA, the condition amazes me. I just thought the further down you go...the better the condition.

Phil

not allways. My brother got a 74 duster. we did not pull back the carpite. I'ts a ca car right? well we found out later he ended up buying a flintstone car. So now I know to look.

Hopefully it isn't any worse than I think it is. Before I bought it, I showed pics to my body guy to get an idea of what it would cost to fix it. Didn't seem all that bad, and I liked the car. I also considered several others, including that killer Valiant Sedan that recently had a nose job. But as much as I wanted that car, I didn't want to V8 a car as nice and original as that. And I decided I wouldn't be happy with it as a /6.

Well boys and girls.......

Everyone should know that I used a BROKER to arrange shipping. They, the BROKERS, have been great. They arranged the carrier and had the car picked up in one day.

HOWEVER...the SHIPPER has been less than satisfactory so far. Once again they did NOT call like they told me they would. Once again I had to find out things on my own. I called the BROKER and told them the SHIPPER had NOT arrived with the car, and that they, the SHIPPER, had NOT called like they said they would.

So the BROKER called the SHIPPER to find out WTF was going on. The SHIPPER told the BROKER the transport was indeed here in TEXAS, and that I would have the car either tomorrow evening (Thursday) or early Friday morning.

SO....that's the latest:protest:

I'm sure it will all work out. If it doesn't...looks like fabo member will have to chip in, and pull a memike on ya.

LOL mrtires. But I have to say I feel for ya 68. That was my biggest fear about shipping my car, that the broker was great but the shipper..... It will get there (although not soon enough for you Im sure) and just think, your new car already has a "story" and it hasnt even gotten there yet 8)

Thanks....I feel much better about it now:cheers:

It might well cause the carrier to lose the business from the broker (so the broker told me). So you'd think the carrier would get off their collective *** and deliver my car

Dang 68...was hoping "IT" had arrived by tonight.

Sorry to see a snag....

"IT" will arrive tomorrow in the am...That's what the Mopar Gods say :toothy10:

Take 2 :drinkers: and relax..............Sorry, sucks huh..

Believe it or not, I'm uncharacteristically calm about the whole thing.........for now

And thanks for the prescription Doc. I'll take two and call ya in the morning:-D

Look at "IT" this way.....you already have 5 pages of FABO history on this thread...lol :bootysha:

Good things come to those who wait. :clock:

WHAT ABOUT THE MONKEYS?????? LOL. Nice Duster you've got there man! Best of luck with the new project.

Yep !! I have got to say IT" has legs. I keep coming back and IT is running late, Glad you are calm 68 Sedan, I say you will see it drive up at 11:27 am.
Anymore guesses ??

Sorry to hear you have to wait.

Maybe we should start a pool. Everyone gets to guess one time for $1.00. Guess as many times as you want to donate $1.00 for. The the closest to the correct time (that's based on CDT) gets 1/2 the pot.

I get the other half...which will probably be immediately spent on parts from other FABO members:toothy10:

And no, I don't have to head towards high ground. While I'm sort of in a low spot, I'm well above the 100 year flood mark.

Well the driver finally called me just now. Apparently he went from New Mexico to HOUSTON first. Now the ******** is (or was) caught up in traffic, and says he will be here around 10:00 tonight.

Yeah.....I want to try to inspect this thing in the dark. And I doubt it being WHITE will help much
