Saw him perform back in the early 60's, right after the release of the "Ring of Fire" album. Great!

My son in law is a big Johnny Cash fan .........Here is my Grand daughter and her Johnny Cash T's .... don't know why the first is backwards :glasses7:

A few of his songs got me through some rough patches in life.

I'm a fan, it was cool the last time that I was in Nashville with all the history in the local bars. The wife knows when I've been into the beers when Cash is on in the garage and the spoons are keeping her awake.

Been a fan for a long time.

I have an album of his on the Sun label...it is slp 1235
Jonny Cash sings the songs that made him famous. The album
is not dated but I think it might be from the early 60's

Is it the one where hes on top of the train cars? I have that one on Sun. He nailed it with this Nine Inch Nails tune Trent Reznor wrote. His life had its share of pain. RIP old friend.[ame]http://youtu.be/SmVAWKfJ4Go[/ame]

I've loved Johnny Cash for years Saw him a couple of times. But as this is a Mopar site - The first time I went to Nashville, I took a drive to see some of the local musician's homes. When I got to Cash's house, his garage door was open. Inside sat a '53 Plymouth.

There's a Sheryl Crow/Willie Nelson version too...... but not as good as that one!

The very first time he played "Boy named Sue" was in a prison for the inmates and he had to look at the lyrics while playing it, he had no idea it would become a big hit. That first live recording is the best version!!! Here is the video...strange seeing him reading the song lol...he wrote it a little earlier and didn't know it
