The spring perches are now 43 inches.44" isn't right if measured correctly.
In the quadrant formed by Phelon Rd, Minero Rd, Lindero St & Pionero Rd. It is on Lindero. Is this yard still open? My brother live in Phelan and he has never heard of it.
It has the small boat pattern.Small Bolt Pattern.
4", as opposed the more common 4.5" of later cars.
Is that the guy that use to bring all the Mopar engines to Springfling?
I looked into the origin of the parts and found out they are probably not Chinese. I was told they were from an "offshore" source. Car is going back into the gear shop tomorrow to try to solve some strange noise other than expected gear whine or clutch noise. This life is an adventure.
Stay the course.
Sand is bad, m'kay?
I wasn't aware china was making 8 3/4 inch differential carrier reproductions.
Hmmmm.
Sorry for the bump in your road.
Where I live, cars rot and die unless you spray $$$ at them frequently.
The saga continues. I got the rear end installed along with a new driveshaft. When I bought the 8 3/4 from Daryl Finch in Phelan, CA, I paid him additional money to replace bearings, seals, gears, etc because the unit was used, I thought I would give him the business for being such a great guy and having the only 8 3/4 rear end made for an "A" body available. Well, I got 12 miles out of it. The car is in the shop having the differential gone through.
Has anyone been able to get ahold of this guy recently. For the past few weeks I have been calling to get ahold of him and I get no answer. I have called and emailed him. Thank for any information.
