Yea sucks to loose a loved one but that's life.
Life can be cruel and you've probably asked "why me" many times. Hopefully the good times outweighed the bad ones.

Yea they have Mark I have 8 kids and 17 grand kids that love me and I love them. That's the bright side.

Youngest son was here today and brought some fireworks. Bought some popits and put them on the kitchen cabinets and kitchen chair legs and not sure what else yet still getting a pop out of everything I touch. The little **** I'll see tomorrow and got enough shaving cream to plaster him. Life is good. Lol

Finally getting some much needed rain. Comes in short, major downpours, an inch or more at a time. Nice break from the heat
So sad your wife isn't around to enjoy them as much as you do Fred. Have to play the cards you're dealt I guess no matter how painful.

Took the Grand Daughter for fireworks. Sparklers and the ones that spin to change colors. Also a brick of the Black Cats. Then shopping for food. Making potato salad now.
Making a tater salad but more of a casserole. I'll serve it cold though. Mashed taters with sour-cream. Mixed in local made polish sausage garlic and oinions. Raw fried some tater chunks that get mixed in. Baking it now. Top it with some fresh chives.
Making beef stew for supper .
Remember people,unless you have two fingers missing and blind in one eye it wasn't a great night. Kidding of course but play safe and don't hold the firecracker between your legs while you light it.
