Another hot humid day today, around 90 F and humidity 56%. Been like that all week, forecast is much the same next week, maybe temps in the high 80's. Had another road trip to collect more things my wife bought, only about 330 miles this time. Got more parts delivered yesterday for the Dart, so that will be tomorrow.
Pretty hot there wouldn't expect that temp. to often.

That Superbird is Amazing. Unrestored survivor in that condition is remarkable. Good trip.
Was hard for me to believe it was never restored the owner was not real friendly and I just walked away.
I should have looked at it closer.

Like that body style, my brother had a few of them in the late 70's, almost bought one when I turned 16.
Was sad for me the guy would't replace the cab corners that was rusted out and told me to just fill them with bondo and I did but not happy about it.
The under carriage is all rusty and he didn't want any work done there that made it even worse for me.
When the bondo falls out of the cab corners guess who the bad guy is?

Louis Chevrolet? Henry Ford?

By the way at the car show he got a trophy not sure what for but like most people they never look close and the truck looks good as long as you don't get on your hands and knees and check the bottom side.
I think I'm to picky and piss people off when I get down and dirty on there cars but as far as I'm concerned the bottom should look decent and door jambs as well.

I get the same feeling. If your gonna "show it" I'm gonna pick it apart. I won't say anything but positivism if it warrants it if they aint a dickhead.

If the guy did his own work on the car and did what he could and like you said not an *** then yea. If they had someone else do it and still a nice guy then not gonna tear it apart.
I keep my opinion to myself but you guys are good friends and I share my opinion here cause your to far away to kick me. lol

What I dislike is when they show with the hood open. If I want to see the engine I'll ask. My buddy has won several trophies with his mostly stock looking 77 Camero and I think he won cause I told him to keep the hood closed.

I read where he was a jerk.

I read the book on his life and career, he could be a complete asshole, without a doubt, his son Edsel was a regular target of Henry's anger and arrogance. Ultimately his success in industry made him an even more of a prick. He kept the Model T in production for so many years because he didn't believe anyone could design a better selling car, including Edsel Ford.

I bought one eventually that was a rustbucket, paid $125.00 for it, got it running good, and ended up trading it for my first Dart.

I like to see under the hood at the power plant but that's just me.

I watched a documentary on Henry Ford. He was smart but an A-hole as you said. He sure was set on building the T. He was filthy rich though. Even had a plant in South America that grew rubber plants to make the tires. He had one employee suggest that their suppliers ship parts with a certain size crate. He would then use that crate for the floors in the T's. That employee got a real healthy cheque for his suggestion.

Morning guys... A lot cooler this morning and a beautiful breeze blowing. Expecting some much needed rain today. It has rained some overnight and I did see some lightning but no thunder.
Those were some nice cars Fred. That bird was amazing. Thanks for posting.
Enjoy your day.
